On June 25, YouTuber Jenna Mourey, more famously known to the world as Jenna Marbles, announced that she was stepping away from her main YouTube channel. A little less than two months later, Mourey and her longtime partner, Julien Solomita, announced that they are officially ending the ‘Jenna and Julien Podcast’.

On Monday, August 17, their YouTube channel, which has over 978,000 subscribers, shared a video titled ‘The Final Podcast’, that said in the description, “Thank you for taking this ride with us. It's been amazing and we love you all.”

In the final episode, a six-minute heartfelt good-bye, Mourey and Solomita thanked their listeners and sponsors for their support over 300 episodes. “I haven’t been on the internet for a while,” Mourey said at the beginning of the clip. It’s the first time she has appeared online since her goodbye in June. Her YouTube channel has been deleted.

Last week, Solomita also removed Mourey’s name from their shared Twitch account. He explained that it was an attempt to not “mislead” anyone and to “show respect" to his loyal viewers.

“If I think about it too much and if I say it too much, I'm probably gonna cry. And I can't really look at Julien because I'm probably gonna cry. But I wanted to say thank you so much for all of your support over however many years we've been doing this,” Mourey said. “This is, like, one of the sources of so much happiness and laughter and joy -- and such a good time -- and I'm so glad that so many of you had such a good time with us.”

“Maybe someday in the future, Julien and I can do something else … For now, the podcast is good-bye,” Mourey explained in the final episode. Following Mourey’s June farewell, she stopped being on the podcast as well. The duo said that they felt it was important for them to say farewell to their fandom rather than just abruptly end the podcast without any acknowledgment. Mourey concluded the episode by updating viewers on her condition. “I have a million things that I would love to say, but I just want you to know that I'm doing okay, I'm getting help, and I'm just being a person right now,” she said. “So I genuinely appreciate all the support and love.”

Back in June, speaking to her 23 million subscribers in an 11-minute-long video, Mourey gave a tearful apology and bid adieu. She said, “I’ve spent the last few days privating almost all of my old content, and I’m sorry if any of that holds any nostalgia for you, but I’m literally not trying to put out negative things into the world.”

In one of her older videos, Mourey appeared as Nikki Minaj, in what she called blackface. In another, she used slurs to mock an Asian man. She said she held herself accountable for the content she’s put out in the past. She played clips from both of the aforementioned videos, which were filmed in 2011. She called her impression of Nicki Minaj “cringey and embarrassing.”

The YouTuber said back then that she didn't know if she would be gone from the channel forever. But for the time being, she was stepping away. “For now, I don’t… I just can’t exist on this channel,” she said. “Hopefully, I’ve taken down anything that would upset someone and I hope you know that that’s just not my intent, that’s not what I ever set out to do, to hurt anyone’s feelings or make anyone feel bad.”
