YouTube star PewDiePie marries longtime girlfriend Marzia Bisognin in a dreamy wedding ceremony at London's Kew Gardens
The biggest YouTuber on earth is now officially taken.
PewDiePie, who shot to fame with Minecraft videos and garnered millions of subscribers over the years, married his girlfriend Marzia Bisognin in a romantic wedding ceremony at London's famous Kew Gardens, Mirror reports.
"We are married!!! I'm the happiest I can be," PewDiePie, whose real name is Felix Kjellberg, wrote on Twitter. "I'm so lucky to share my life with this amazing woman."
The 29-year-old donned a bold, all-black outfit for the special even and completed the look with a black tie and shirt to match his wedding suit.
Meanwhile, his 26-year-old bride stunned in a gorgeous white lace wedding dress with long sheer sleeves, corset-style top, and some intricate lace detail at the hips.
In a scene straight out of a fairytale, Marzia carried a bouquet of pale pink roses and margarita daisies as she walked down the aisle with her partner, beaming with joy.
The pair were accompanied by family and friends who blew bubbles to celebrate their holy union.
"Yesterday, the 19th of August—after exactly 8 years since we met—we celebrated our wedding with our closest friends and family," Marzia wrote alongside a series of dreamy snaps on her Instagram. "It was the most beautiful day, which I will treasure forever. I am so thankful for all the people that made time to attend the event and helped us celebrate our marriage. I feel like I'm the luckiest person and I'm so full of love. Incredibly ecstatic to be able to call Felix my husband for the rest of our lives."
The pair, who have been together since 2011, was seen in a series of romantic pictures from the ceremony posing in Kew Gardens' Orangery, where they shared an intimate moment below a staircase surrounded by lush foliage.
That said, the Italian beauty often appears on PewDiePie's YouTube videos.
According to the report, Marzia first met Felix after being introduced to his YouTube channel by a mutual friend, who told her she had to watch "this idiot playing video games." She subsequently emailed Felix and told him she found his videos funny.
They met soon after and started dating, before moving to his native Sweden and later to Italy, and eventually settling in Brighton, England.
Since meeting Felix, Marzia has built her own YouTube empire focusing on makeup, books, fashion, DIY, and video games. Her channel eventually became the most subscribed Italian channel in 2014.
In October 2018, Marzia announced she was retiring from vlogging citing mental health reasons, and went on to remove her YouTube posts.
"Having videos up, after making this decision, would have seemed like taking a step back," she said in a statement at the time. "I've selected a few that I really liked, which I'm going to leave for a bit – for the 'adjustment' period—but taking my videos down, in my mind, needed to be done."
