'Yellowstone' Season 4 Episode 5: Fans wonder if John Dutton will start dating Summer

Has Beth's work been done by fate? The daughter may not need to find her father a lover with the appearance of this new character

Paramount Network's 'Yellowstone' is filled with danger, death, and politics but also has plenty of love stories and flings going on. The drama which centers around John Dutton (Kevin Costner) and his family saw a new addition which could be the start of something new.

'Yellowstone' ranch owner and patriarch John Dutton has been solo for a while now despite seeing on again off again love interests. This has him lonely with his daughter Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) saying in all seriousness that he needs to get some action. The fifth episode may have just brought him a new love and fans cant help but wonder if it'll actually happen. Read on to know who the cowboy could possibly end up in and what fans thought of it.

The fifth episode of the show saw new a new character in the form of animal rights activist Summer Higgins (Piper Perabo). John's first meeting with her is rocky as she orchestrates a protest which has John and the rest of the officers annoyed. He decides to press charges with her ending up in jail. The episode later saw him bothered and bail her out himself. Although he doesn't agree with her ideologies, he respects her passion and offers her a ride and a visit to his ranch so she could have a better insight into his beliefs as well. Although hesitant at first, she later agrees after even calling him a charming man, which has him smile, even though she said it in reference to being abducted by an unknown man.

Their drive toward the Dutton ranch saw John and her share a deep talk which has both of them defend their belief but also agree on what matters the most: the Earth, with both of them voicing the same thoughts. As they chat about the strain the earth and its resources are under, fans couldn't help but wonder if she'll be John's new love interest. Beth too had said her father needs a companion and that she would get him a girlfriend. The new introduction to the show has fans hoping and guessing if she'll be his new object of affection.
