Spoilers for 'Yellowstone' Season 3 Episode 10 'The World is Purple'

To say that the final episode of Season 3 of 'Yellowstone' was a shocking one is not even cutting it. For most of the episode, fans were literally waiting for something to happen or something to blow out of proportion so that it might feel like a finale episode. But it was only in the final five minutes that the episode picked up pace to give us one of the biggest cliffhangers it had ever presented.

The season ended with more question marks than answers. Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) was bombed at her office, Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) was attacked by gunmen in his office and finally, John Dutton (Kevin Costner) was shot down by gunmen in the middle of the road. Not to mention Jimmy Hurdstorm (Jefferson White), who lay unconscious in the dirt, but he wasn't a part of the attack.

With the lives of most of the major characters hanging by a thread at the moment, the 'Yellowstone' fandom is anxious. Another year's wait is long and seems excruciating right now. The restlessness is now making fans come up with theories for the upcoming Season 4.

There is a lot of speculation over the planner of the coordinated attacks. While many think it was Willa Hayes (Karen Pittman) and Roarke Morris (Josh Holloway), there are some who think it was Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley), who wants to exact revenge on John. But we're thinking it is someone who is not being considered as the mastermind at all. This fan breaks down who might be the puppeteer.

"Jamie gains nothing with the deaths of John, Kayce, and Beth. You know who does gain? The reservation, nobody seems to be looking at them," a fan took to Reddit to theorise. "Angela Blue Thunder (Q'orianka Kilcher) was really getting to [Thomas] Rainwater (Gil Birmingham) about bringing the war to them. Blue Thunder is a lawyer and seems to be the type that could get her hands on information not generally known. John's will left the land to Kayce, with John, Beth, and Kayce gone the land would pass to Kayce's next of kin who are Monica (Kelsey Asbille) and Tate (Becken Merrill). Monica, who has been getting closer to Rainwater throughout the season."

We must admit, this theory totally holds water. Angela Blue Thunder was also upset with Rainwater about him acting like John's friend and not who he really is, a foe. "Angela Blue Thunder basically told Rainwater to do it. First, she got him to clarify if John was a friend or enemy and then she said the tribe could get rid of him with no one suspecting then lastly she said to bring the war to them and that he was turning Mo Brings Plenty into a slave by not letting him be a warrior," another fan added to this theory.

From the looks of it, Angela really hates the Duttons for taking their land and owning it all these years. She is now not going to stop at anything to get it back. "She flat out said to "make it look like everyone else but you did it". And she told Mo to go ahead and make war and don't wait for Rainwater's permission. I don't think John and Beth realize how deeply Angela Blue Thunder hates them. In her eyes, they are the oppressors. The thieves who stole their land. And she would definitely kill to get it back," another fan said

Who could it be? Who was on top of everything this entire time? Or was this someone's rushed effort to grab the Yellowstone land? What 'Yellowstone' is doing right now is a long con. Unlike its last two seasons that had only season-long antagonists,Season 3 focuses on amping up the plot for Season 4, which is when there will be pay off. And is the only reason why Season 3 felt, to many viewers, a drag. Season 3 focused on major character development and from the looks of it, the wait for another year will only be worth it.
