xQc and Asmongold say Amber Heard dressing up as Mercy from 'Overwatch' for Elon Musk was a 'good idea'

AUSTIN, TEXAS: After Elon Musk posted an old picture of Amber Heard dressed as Mercy on platform X (previously known as Twitter), gamers started reacting to it, with well-known streamers like Félix 'xQc' and Asmongold remarking on the image.

According to a recent biography by Walter Isaacson, the South African millionaire reportedly asked his ex-girlfriend Amber Heard to dress up as that Overwatch character.

xQc and Asmongold reacted to Elon Musk's post

Elon Musk tweeted a photo of Amber dressed as the character shortly after the story went viral on social media, which caused quite a commotion.

In a recent livestream, well-known Twitch and Kick streamer xQc commented on the image and called the cosplay "basic."

xQc said, "Elon Musk had Amber Heard dress up as Mercy from Overwatch. I mean, that's legit. What? I think that's legit, what the f*ck. It's kind of basic actually. It's kind of a freak, no?"

After reading a few comments on X, xQc admitted that the outfit was nice. He further added, "He's like me for real. I hate it here. W cosplay. It is nice, it is nice...."

Asmongold, an MMO and RPG broadcaster, added his two cents, calling this cosplay a "good idea" in response to the information from the biography of Musk.

He said, "New Elon Musk biography reveals he asked Amber Heard to cosplay as Mercy from Overwatch. Yeah, I mean yeah, it's a good idea."

Asmongold and xQc extensively covered the well-liked Depp v Heard public trials on their livestreams. In fact, the two were included in the most recent Netflix documentary about that topic.

On the other side, Elon Musk confirmed the rumor of Heard's cosplay by posting a photo of her decked out as Mercy, which sparked a full-blown meme frenzy on platform X (previously Twitter). 

As soon as the tweet went viral, many netizens reacted and shared their opinions. A user wrote, "That doesn't make sense. AH is anything but nice."

Another user wrote, "Moral of the story... be ultra successful to fulfill every dream that you have ."

The third user claimed, "this is going to be the most popular repost on the internet tomorrow."

While a lot of people found this cosplay amusing online, readers may be more interested in how broadcasters like Asmongold responded to Overwatch 2 receiving an incredibly unfavorable review on Steam, which made it one of the worst-reviewed titles on the platform recently.
