In 'X-Men '97', as the X-Men confront Bolivar Trask in Madripoor, he admits his role in the Genosha tragedy and attempts to leap from a building. Rogue catches him, seeking more information before letting him go, plummeting to his death.

Suddenly, Rogue is struck down by a massive blast. Trask then reappears, transformed into a formidable hybrid of human, sentinel, and zombie, posing a new threat to the X-Men.

Despite his enhanced powers, they manage to defeat him with the help of a friend from the future.

Does Scott finally meet his son Cable?

In a dramatic twist on 'X-Men '97', as the Human Sentinel overwhelms the X-Men, Cable suddenly arrives and disables the formidable foe with a single shot. Making his first appearance to the team, Scott recognizes him as Baby Nathan.

Cable cuts short any reunions to deliver a dire warning: Bolivar Trask is not the mastermind behind the chaos—it’s Mister Sinister, working with an unknown accomplice. Cable stresses that uncovering this mysterious ally is critical, or there will be no future for the X-Men.

Mister Sinister and Bastion are discreetly working together

In the climax of 'X-Men '97' Episode 7, a new villain named Bastion is introduced. It's revealed that he, along with Mister Sinister, orchestrated the devastating attack on Genosha.

Bastion hints at even more catastrophic plans ahead for the X-Men.

Despite Mister Sinister's skepticism, reminding Bastion of past failures to defeat the X-Men since 1992, Bastion confidently declares that he has a foolproof plan ready to finally succeed.

Magneto is alive but captured

Just before the credits of 'X-Men '97' Episode 7 roll, a shocking scene unfolds. Bastion is seen tending to someone with hot water towels to give them a neat shave, revealing a surprising twist, that someone is none other than Magneto!

Previously thought to have sacrificed himself in Genosha to save the Morlocks from the Godzilla Sentinel, Magneto appears weakened, stripped of his powers by a mutant-suppressing collar, and bound to a chair.

While it's a relief to see him alive, the big question remains: What does Bastion intend to do with him? We'll have to tune in to the next episode to find out.
