NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: Following the death of her mother Naomi Judd nine months ago, Wynonna Judd opened up to fans about her struggles regarding her mental health. The 'No One Else on Earth' singer, 58, took to social media on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, to address a fan's comment that mentioned that she "doesn't appear well."
"You can't keep a good woman down for too long," she expressed herself in an Instagram video addressed to her fans. The Judd matriarch, a Grammy Award-winning singer who performed with Wynonna as half of the mother-daughter duo The Judds, died by suicide in April 2022, following a prolonged mental illness. She died at the age of 76.

Fans have questioned if Judd's management has been pushing her "too hard" at this difficult time given that the singer has continued to perform, take part in interviews, and tour in multiple countries since the passing of her mother. Addressing the concerns, Wynonna began her video by saying, "I have heard some of the comments, and the first thought that I had was, opinions and buttholes. And then I realized people are genuinely concerned, so I want to respond to that piece."
"I am working so hard on my mental, physical and spiritual well-being. I have a great team and I'm really blessed," she continued. "And I'm broken and I'm working really hard at self-care -- which is not selfish, it's sacred." She said, "I have a very full schedule but I also have time off to be on the farm and to walk in the woods and take the dogs (out)," adding, "So I'm OK." "The last thing I'll say is, you can't keep a good woman down for too long," she further said.
One month after her mother died, Wynonna revealed in an Instagram post in May 2022 how it was impacting her and how she was concentrating on healing. She wrote, "This cannot be how The Judds story ends." "I really DO know, that I'm not able to do this grieving thing all by myself and that it's okay to reach out for help. I will continue to fight for my faith, for my SELF, for my family, and I WILL continue to show up & sing," she wrote, adding, "Thank you all for your love and support. Let's check in more often."
In an interview with CBC in September 2022, she revealed that she felt really angry about her mother's suicide. "I did not know that she was at the place she was at when she ended it." "Because she had had episodes before and she got better,” Judd said, adding, “And that's what I live in, is like, 'Was there anything I should have looked for or should I have known?' I didn't."
