WWE stars Naomi and Asuka will have to set their real-life friendship aside as they face each other in a Ladder Match during WWE's 'Money in the Bank 2021' event. Comprising two ladder matches and five championship bouts, the pay-per-view event kicked off on Sunday, July 18, 2021, telecasted live from Fort Worth, Texas. Naomi is a key wrestler at the women's MITB Ladder Match, which also includes powerhouse performers like Alexa Bliss, Nikki A.S.H, Liv Morgan, Asuka, Zelina Vega, Natalya, and Tamina.

Ahead of the ladder match, the event was kicked off by a SmackDown Tag Team Championship match between Rey and Dominik Mysterio vs The Uso brothers. Jimmy Uso, of The Uso brother duo, also happens to be the husband of Naomi. He is a noted wrestler who participates in Tag Team challenges with his brother Jey Uso. At the kickoff event, The Usos overpowered The Mysterios to bag the Tag Team titles.

Who is Jimmy Uso?

Born Jonathan Solofa Fatu, Jimmy Uso is the twin brother of Joshua Samuel Fatu aka Jey Uso. Both the brothers are presently tied to WWE and perform for the SmackDown franchise. Jimmy Uso is also a Slammy Award winner and a six-time Tag Team champion.

They hail from a family of wrestling heritage as their father happens to be the legendary WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi. Both the brothers had their introduction to the world of wrestling through their father who was their trainer.

Born on August 22, 1985, in San Francisco, California, the Uso brothers belong to the famous Anoa'i family of Samoan wrestlers. Besides their father Rikishi, their uncle Umaga was also a wrestler while their relatives were late WWE Hall of Famer Yokozuna and Roman Reigns. The duo took up the stage name 'Uso', which means 'brother' in the Samoan language. Both Jimmy and Jey Uso appear to be especially respectful towards their culture, as till 2016, they even performed the Samoan Siva Tau before their matches.

Jonathan Fatu aka Jimmy Uso had been in a long-term relationship with fellow WWE icon Naomi, whose real name was Trinity McCray. The pair got married in an exclusive ceremony in Maui on January 16, 2014. Naomi is also a doting stepmother to Jonathan's two children -- Jayla and Jaidan. Naomi, who happens to be the first African-American woman to win the Smackdown Women's Champion, is known to be happily married to Jimmy Uso.

However, in his personal life, Jimmy Uso had faced some setbacks due to drunk driving and consequent arrests. His recent arrest was on July 5, 2021, when he got behind the wheels after downing multiple beers. However, his tryst with legal issues did not affect his efficiency on the floor, as evident from the latest victory.
