Air time and date

The official Twitter account of WWE shared the details on SummerSlam 2021 with their fans while also revealing the date. The much-awaited event will take place on August 21, 2021. “The Biggest Event of the Summer returns Saturday, August 21!" WWE tweeted.

Venue

Details about the official venue are yet to be revealed. However, rumor is that SummerSlam might take place in Las Vegas. According to David Bourne of Sports Business Journal, SummerSlam’s location will reportedly be announced as part of the Belmont Stakes pre-show on June 5. Apart from SummerSlam 2021, WWE also announced its next 21 live events for the summer.

Host

WWE is surely planning to return with a bang with its SummerSlam 2021 as ‘WAP’ hitmaker Cardi has reportedly been roped-in as the host. If this happens, the event will, of course, create a lot more buzz on the internet. Though it is not confirmed, Andrew Zarian of The Mat Men Podcast and Wrestling Observer reported that Cardi B will host SummerSlam this year. Taking to Twitter, he said, “I can confirm that I was told Cardi B is the host for SummerSlam this year.” WWE, however, is yet to stamp it officially.

A lot of fans on social media speculated the news after WWE aired a new advertisement for the SummerSlam during SmackDown which featured Cardi’s recent hit single ‘Up’. The Grammy award-winning rapper was referenced on-screen during WWE RAW Legends Night earlier this year and interestingly, WWE president Nick Khan had also expressed his interest earlier in working with the 28-year-old hip-hop artist.
