Trolls attack emotional post by Issac Rochell's pregnant wife as Raiders releases him after just one year
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: The emotional post by Allison Kuch, the pregnant wife of Las Vegas Raiders' defensive end Isaac Rochell, was marred by trolls after the team unexpectedly released him on Thursday, November 9, 2023, disrupting the couple's life just weeks before the birth of their first child.
Tearful Kuch acknowledged the harsh reality of the NFL being a business, including the uncertainty of Rochell's future in the NFL, highlighting the tight-knit community the couple had built in Las Vegas.

“If you’re tired about always hearing about these transactions, same,” she said TikTok while sharing the news of Rochell’s release.
“This sucks for all of us. At the end of the day the NFL is a business and my husband and I are fine. We are OK. We have each other. But I would be lying if I said this didn’t affect me or that I didn’t care or it didn’t make me emotional. Our baby’s due date is in four weeks. Yeah, I was crying when I found out my husband was being released,” she added.
What is the reason behind Raiders parting ways with Isaac Rochell?
Kuch clarified that the Raiders, facing the need to accommodate the newly acquired ex-Patriots cornerback Jack Jones on the roster, had to release the seven-year veteran Isaac Rochell.
This move triggered the waiver process, during which Rochell could be claimed by another team within 24 hours of his release.

“Now, the part where it becomes emotional is the fact that we’ve created a sense of community here,” Kuch stated.
“We have friends here, teammates here — and the fact that now we’re going to be uprooted and have to move so close to welcoming our daughter into the world. She’s going to be like, ‘Wow, your world is hectic,'” she added.

Both Kuch and Rochell maintained a positive outlook on social media, injecting humor into the situation.
“If he is claimed, that means he’ll sign to another team’s 53-man roster, and if he is not claimed at the end of the 24 hours he is then a free agent and can sign to a practice squad or a 53-man roster,” she said.

“Having your husband lose his job four weeks before your due date is definitely not ideal, but I know there are so any other women in way more difficult situations that are also pregnant, so I understand that as well. Above all else I am just so thankful for this community on here … and I might need a doctor to deliver my child in a different city … stay tuned,” she added.
