'Your daughter is now male': The shocking call a mom got from school, and the heartbreaking reason why
SOUTHERN ENGLAND, UK: Parents worry more and more that schools are letting their children change their genders without speaking to them first. The problem was brought to light in a recent study that found the gender identity theory may threaten children's safety in schools. Many secondary schools enable students to alter their names and uniforms without telling their parents or other adults, according to a research by the Policy Exchange, a think tank.
As a result, parents may learn of their child's new identity indentity only after receiving a letter stating the child's new name and pronouns. In this context, a woman in her 40s from Southern England was left flabbergasted on learning her daughter, 13, had been allowed to change her gender at school without her approval after receiving a casual phone call from the teenager's school while she was out shopping. She remembers that it was a Friday afternoon and that she was at Waterstones.

'I won't get bullied for being trans'
The woman said, "The head of pupil support phoned me and he said, 'Hi, just to let you know I've had your daughter contact their tutor and they've identified as being male, so they've asked for a new name and pronouns," adding, "'I just thought I'd let you know that's going ahead.' He wasn't asking me, just telling me."
The woman was really worried about this unexpected chat. That evening, her daughter said that some of the boys in her class were harassing her. "She told me, 'I'll get bullied for being a girl, but I won't get bullied for being trans," the mother stated, as per the Daily Mail.
Parents are the last to find out
Based on responses to freedom of information (FoI) requests from 154 of England's 24,000 schools, Policy Exchange conducted their research. Only 28% of the secondary schools who responded to the request, according to the think tank, informed parents the moment a child questioned their gender.
According to the research, 19% and 28% of secondary schools did not maintain single-sex changing rooms and restrooms, respectively. The majority of the assessed schools, according to Policy Exchange, are promoting the idea that people can identify with a gender other than their biological sex, as reported by Worldnewsera. Ministers are already examining relationship and sex education recommendations to make sure that it was age-appropriate for children, according to Rishi Sunak, who commented on the news, as per reports.
