The listeners of the radio talk show 'The Kevin and Sonia Show with Tara Jean' on 104.9 KiSS RADiO have now requested all the Ryan Reynolds fans to sign a petition to name a Vancouver street after the 'Deadpool' actor's name.

The petition which is now signed by more than 2,000 people at change.org reads, "Not only has he captured our hearts on the big screen, his humanitarian efforts have made him a beloved local treasure who encapsulates the best of Vancouverites, and fully deserving of this recognition in his hometown."

The petition further details the humanitarian and charity work he did in 2020: "Along with his wife, Blake Lively, donated $500K to Covenant House to help homeless and at-risk youth and $200K to an Indigenous Women's Leadership Fund. Has helped a woman find her treasured stolen teddy bear that contained the voice of her late mother. Has helped 300 kids get new winter coats in Nunavut, and bought 400 pizzas for local grads who were going to miss their ceremony due to COVID-19. Used his own salary to hire BIPOC staff for a new film and has made countless efforts to help cheer up local kids who are going through tough situations with personalized videos and heartfelt messages."

The petition further reads, "Ryan Reynolds has proudly helped elevate the positive profile of his hometown to a worldwide audience (I mean, his online handle is @VancityReynolds!) and we feel for all he's done for the community, he's entirely deserving of a street named after him." And at the end, the peititoner wrote, "PS: We recognize the City of Vancouver *generally* only names streets after people who have passed, but there have been exceptions PLUS technically Ryan Reynolds is Dead(pool). We think we have a solid case here."

The KiSS RADIO also tweeted, "#TheKevinAndSoniaShow's petition is gaining steam! Please take a moment to sign & share.  Help in our efforts on naming a street in Vancouver after our hometown hero @VancityReynolds!  http://change.org/ryanreynoldsstreet… - @KevinLimOnAir & @TaraJeanOnline w/ Producer @Jordan_Daniels." Radio Jockey Charlene Close also shared the tweet and said, "I just signed this petition!!! @VancityReynolds @kissradiohit."

Ryan replied to Close's tweet saying, "Very kind but hard pass. If traffic sucks everyone will say, “Ryan Reynolds is a mess” or “Ryan Reynolds is really backed up”. My brothers would enjoy this too much." To which Close jokingly replied saying, "Very valid point @VancityReynolds. Hey @kissradiohits any other options?? Bridge, tunnel, gondola, sidewalk, fire hydrant, storm sewer grate, public washroom?????"

And fans had some really funny reactions, as one Internet user wrote, "I can just imagine giving a tourist directions to 'drive straight up Ryan Reynolds'. Please #lifegoals." While one wrote, "Or go down on Ryan Reynolds to get to where you need to go."

One joked, ""Sorry I'm late...I got stuck on Ryan Reynolds again"." Travel Writer, Claudia Laroye wrote, "A park would be far better, no question. But Dude Chilling is already taken. Seriously though, serious for stepping up to help homeless and vulnerable youth in Vancity."

With lots of laughing emojis, one said, "I'm dying.  Can I get someone to pick me up and take me to hospital? Just don't take the Ryan Reynolds, I heard a truck spilled a bunch of lanterns and it's just not a bright idea." While, the show's host Kevin wrote, "OMG @VancityReynolds responded to our petition to name a street after him in Vancouver!!! Should we keep it going? Even if it's just so his brothers can make fun of him?"
