Will Smith reunites with NY receptionist he met during his first interview 30 years ago in heartwearming video
Will Smith never forgets a face and the actor proved that when he was reunited with a receptionist that he had met during the start of his career.
Smith decided to meet Anita Scipio as she was going to celebrate her retirement from iHeartRadio in New York City. Smith thought that it would be the best occasion to head back to the place and surprise her.
Taking to Instagram, Smith shared the experience of going back and meeting Scipio. "My favorite moments on the road are the ones where I can connect with people like @anitascipio," he wrote. "I met her at the front desk before one of my VERY FIRST interviews of my career... and yesterday I was lucky enough to see her off into retirement 30 years later."
He further added that he was more pleased to meet Scipio than she was to meet him. "She said I made her day. Y’all... she made MINE. Enjoy yourself Mama and keep spreading that love & light wherever you go!"
Scipio also took to Instagram to share a video of her reaction upon meeting Smith again after nearly 30 years. "Stuntin’ 4 Da ‘Gram w/ the Fresh Prince! Reunited & It Feels So Good!" she wrote. Fans were quick to applaud Smith for his humble and heartwarming behavior.
"Tears...You have made people happy for a long time My brother," one user wrote. "This is amazing I member when I met you last year in Miami just for a few mins on the set of bad boy three in my friend's store. Had no idea you were about to walk in @willsmith I was the guy with the walker," another added.
While another echoed similar thoughts and wrote, "This has gotta be the best part about being famous. Seeing the joy you put on people's faces and how you impact their lives. No one does it better than @willsmith."
