Will lack of aliens hurt 'Andor'? Fans say, 'Going to be a bit bland without a single alien'

'Andor' has notable absentees — aliens. In all of the trailers, sneak-peeks, and posters, there's been virtually no presence of alien life which is pretty odd for a 'Star Wars' show. This issue had contrasting opinions on Twitter. While some called the move a necessary one, considering the show was all about the life and times of Rebel captain Cassian Andor (Diego Luna), some thought the focus away from the aliens would make the show a bit 'bland'.

The official synopsis for the much-awaited prequel to 'Rogue One' reads, "The Andor series will explore a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover the difference he can make. The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It’s an era filled with danger, deception, and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero."

"Is anyone else disappointed at the lack of aliens in #Andor? I just want to see bothans," one of the fans wrote. This was seconded by another who said, "I know there are conflicting opinions on what #StarWars "should be" but I didn't see a single alien in this entire #Andor trailer." The thoughts continued. "NOT CASSIAN BULLYING THE ALIEN PLS," a fan tweeted.

"Why is everyone in the Andor trailer a human? Going to be a bit bland if we don’t see a signal alien in a Star Wars show #Andor," one of the tweets read. One segment justified the absence of the aliens in the story focusing more on Cassian. "It’s about andor andor isn’t an alien and it looks like it’s based on one planet," a comment said. "The #Andor sneak peek is very solid. I have one complaint only here tho, and it is the lack of aliens. I think tbobf is the live action show that did this better. It is star wars. Add some aliens guys," a fan opined.
