'Will go to ends of Earth for him': 'Rebel Moon' star Corey Stoll hails Zack Snyder for his crazy hardwork
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Zack Snyder is gearing up for his upcoming space film for Netflix, which is titled 'Rebel Moon'. Originally a pitch for the 'Star Wars' movie, the 'Rebel Moon' is an original script conceived by Snyder as a one-off. However, the premise of the movie expanded and the movie is now set to be released as a two-parter. This is not the first collaboration of Snyder with Netflix though. He previously released 'Army of the Dead' on Netflix in 2021.
The upcoming 'Rebel Moon" has an ensemble cast including Sofia Boutella, Djimon Hounsou, Ed Skrein, Michiel Huisman, Bae Doona, Ray Fisher, Charlie Hunnam and Anthony Hopkins as the voice of Jimmy. The extensive cast of the Netflix movie also includes Cary Elwes, Corey Stoll, Jena Malone, Fra Fee, Cleopatra Coleman, Alfonso Herrera, Stuart Martin, Staz Nair, Sky Yang, Rhian Rees, E Duffy and Charlotte Maggi.

'Working these crazy hours with a smile on his face'
According to Collider, the 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania' actor, Stoll, who plays an unnamed role in the upcoming 'Rebel Moon' was asked about his experience on working with the director Snyder. Stoll has nothing but nice things to say about the 'Man of Steel' director. Stoll noted the director's hardwork and said that Snyder was there in the trenches with everybody. Further, he went on to add that Snyder did all that with a smile on his face.
Stoll said, "He is there in the trenches with everybody. As soon as you walk onto his set, you get a sense that everybody, the cast and the crew, would go to the ends of the Earth for him because he's there covered in dust, 110 degrees in the desert, working these crazy hours with a smile on his face and so it really is a joy to see something on that scale, working on that scale, but with this sense of playfulness and enthusiasm that he has."
Zack Snyder's 'Rebel Moon'
The official synopsis of 'Rebel Moon' from Netflix reads, "When a peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy finds itself threatened by the armies of the tyrannical Regent Balisarius, they dispatch a young woman with a mysterious past named Kora to seek out warriors from neighboring planets to help them take a stand." A glimpse of the upcoming epic space fantasy film was seen on the 'Save The Dates' promo released about a month ago. The promo showed a peek into a planet far away and a fierce Sofia Boutella as Kora. The glimpse promises a jam-packed action movie.
Snyder is a beloved auteur, who is known for his works in '300', 'Watchmen', 'Man of Steel', 'Zack Snyder's Justice League' and 'Army of the Dead'. Snyder took a little break from making movies in 2017 to spend time with his family after the tragic loss of his daughter. This led to Joss Whedon's infamous takeover of 'Justice League'.
'Rebel Moon' is set to stream on Netflix on December 22, 2023.
