LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ever since it was announced that DC Universe is going to be revamped under new leadership, fans were hoping to see Zack Snyder playing an important role in taking the aforementioned universe in a better direction. However, it was revealed that James Gunn will be leading the creative part of the aforementioned universe following the creation of the DC Universe. Without any guesses, Snyder fans were not happy and started trending ‘Fire James Gunn’ almost immediately. For months, a certain section of social media has been asking Warner Bros. to remove Gunn and bring back Snyder in the DC Universe, but it seems that the ‘Man of Steel’ helmer has already spoken with Gunn about the new slate and likes what his fellow filmmaker is doing.

Gunn, who has been massively active on social media, was replying to a fan after he commented “Sell The Snyder Verse to Netflix’ on a picture the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ director uploaded on his official Twitter account. The filmmaker seemed to be pretty amused by what the fan wrote and noted that this was the “wackiest hashtag” he has ever seen. However, he didn’t stop there and went on to reveal that he and Snyder had a conversation regarding the new direction taken by the DC Studios.

But he made one thing clear there hasn’t been any interest from Netflix in buying the ‘Snyder Verse’ and also, even Zack is not interested in selling the ‘Snyder Verse’ to the streaming giant. He wrote, “I have to say, this has got to be the wackiest hashtag ever since 1) Netflix hasn’t expressed any such interest (although we’ve discussed other stuff) & 2) Zack hasn’t expressed any interest & seems to be happy doing what he’s doing (and, yes, we too have talked).”

As soon as the fans got to know that both filmmakers have already had a conversation together, they wanted to know what the conversation was about. While replying to one of the fans, Gunn noted that Snyder extended his support about the choices he has made to take the DC Universe ahead.

“He contacted me to express his support for my choices. He’s a great guy. Again, he seems really happy with the massive world-building he’s doing now,” Gunn tweeted.

Fans went berserk once they got to know about their conversation and hoped that it will shut up all the “Snyder Fanboys.” One of the fans tweeted, “Maybe that’ll shut up Snyder Fanboys for a while. Probably not though.” Another social media user wrote, “Kings respecting kings. We love to see it.” Another fan tweeted, “At least zack has moved on and is happy wish I could say the same for the Snyder verse fanboys.”

However, there were many who labeled Gunn as a “liar” and said they’ll never believe a word that comes from his mouth. One social media user tweeted, “I’ll never believe anything this guy says. Zack has distanced himself from him and DC and I know for a fact Zack probably never called him about ‘his choices’.” Another social media user wrote, “Ever play, "One of these three is a lie?" It's easy to spot in your tweet. Zack is a great guy: truth. Zack is happy about Rebel Moon: truth. Zack contacted you and supports your direction for DC: lie.

Fans claiming that the ‘Snyder Verse’ should be sold to Netflix don’t understand that Warner Bros. wouldn’t license off a whole DC franchise to Netflix when they have already laid the groundwork for the new DC Universe. Of course, the Snyder Verse can move forward if Gunn ever decides to create an ‘Elseworlds’ universe, but it’s not in the pipeline. So, as of now, Snyder Verse seems to have already concluded with no sight of when it might come back.
