Will George Stephanopoulos and Ali Wentworth host 'Live'? 'GMA' fans want couple to replace Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Good Morning America’ anchor George Stephanopoulos seems to be enjoying his time off the studio. The 62-year-old revered ABC star is vacationing with his wife Ali Wentworth in Greece and making the most of his well-deserved break. The couple have not been shy about giving their fans a glimpse of their vacation with Ali constantly posting one update or the other on her social media.
Ali’s latest post on her Instagram features her and George on a boat out in the sea with the couple looking at each other affectionately and with a smile on their faces. This post has created quite a stir among both of their fans with a few suggesting they sub in for another popular TV couple Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos who host ‘Live.’ This unwanted proposition does beg the question - Can George and Ali truly replace Kelly and Mark as the hosts of ‘Live’?

'GMA' star has taken time off from the studio to spend his summer in Greece with his wife Ali Wentworth. Ali already shared a photo of George cuddling her but her latest snap captures the love between the two more intimately as the couple are seen on a boat in the middle of the sea. This made the fans in the Instagram comment section go berserk with their admiration for the couple. One fan went overboard and compared the duo to Live’s Kelly and Mark, suggesting that Ali and George will look good hosting together.
“Ali, hoping you and George will sub-co-host for Kelly and Mark occasionally.” A second agreed to it and wrote, “That would be fantastic,” while a third praised their chemistry and chided, “A match made in heaven. BEST FAMOUS COUPLE EVER!” A fourth fan took up the ante and try to convince the duo with his comment. He stated, “You both are so lovely and fun to watch on tv.” Even though, it was just a suggestion by one of the fans, Ali and George might be a hit pair of hosts given Ali has experience appearing on ‘GMA’ and ‘Live.’

Ali was one of the hosts of ‘Live’ to pay tribute to Ryan Seacrest when he left the program following six seasons on the popular daytime show. George and Ali occasionally appear on TV together, with Ali having appeared on GMA on several occasions. She always takes her husband’s case, much to the delight of viewers. The couple met after being set up on a blind date in 2000 and got engaged just two months later. They got married at the Holy Trinity Cathedral Greek Orthodox Church in New York City, where George's father Reverend Dr Robert G Stephanopoulos performed the ceremony. Ali and George lead a life away from the media glare and also keep their daughters safe from the scrutiny of the paparazzi.
