Will Evan Thomas win ‘Rock The Block’ Season 5? HGTV star dubs show’s producers ‘liars and manipulators’ ahead of finale
TREASURE ISLAND, FLORIDA: 'Rock The Block' Season 5 finale is scheduled to air on April 15, 2024, Monday, at 9 pm ET only on HGTV.
Recently, Evan Thomas, a participant vying for victory in the highly anticipated finale of the home renovation competition took to his Instagram page and sought the fans' insights and opinions regarding the most recent task presented on the show, as per The US Sun.
"Was there some lowballing going on? Keith and I decided to judge very fairly because it’s the right thing to do, plus we didn’t trust production at all (the lead producers are professional liars and manipulators but that’s a story for another day lol)," he wrote on his Instagram page.
Soon after, Evan's design partner, Keith Bynum stopped by the comments section and wrote, "The truth will come out on the abuse and lies. I can’t wait!!!"
And now, the fans are sharing their take on Thomas' comment on HGTV show's producers.
A Reddit user wrote, "The least surprising but most eye-rolling thing would be to find that HGTV producers are gaming the competition to skew results to benefit their favorite couples. Based on what I’ve seen, I’d say the probability of that is about 100%."
Another user went on to say, "Personally, I think it’s all hype for the finale The Sun is trash, but all the article did was lift quotes and comments from Instagram and Reddit. It doesn’t add anything new."
One comment read, "This show needs hype. It’s awful."
A user chimed in, "It imploding."
Followed by a user who penned, "Omg i believe reality TV is real."

Which team won ‘Rock The Block’ Season 5’s bedroom renovation challenge?
In a surprising turn of events, last week's episode of 'Rock the Block' Season 5 broke tradition by not heading into the finale after the fifth week of competition, as host Ty Pennington revealed a new format for the season.
Ty Pennington gathered the four teams at a warehouse for a final competition, a 48-hour Surprise Bedroom Redemption challenge where they would judge each other's finished spaces.
Bryan and Sarah Baeumler and Page Turner and Mitch Glew are tied with two wins each, while Keith Bynum and Evan Thomas and Lyndsay Lamb and Leslie Davis each have one win. The teams were tasked with designing and building a multipurpose bedroom suite that could double as another room, choosing from five options.
Teams met MLB player Jimmy Rollins before a furniture shopping challenge. Rollins offered a pitching competition to earn a 2-minute advantage, which was won by Page and Mitch.
After shopping for their rooms, the teams returned to the block to design their extra bedrooms. Lyndsay and Leslie chose to create a music studio in their room, while Bryan and Sarah added a twin bed and crib to their flex space along with a craft station. They also had a plan to keep their design manageable.
Keith and Evan chose the meditation room option during the shopping spree, opting for a wallpaper accent and warm brown walls to create a cozy space. They considered adding a bookcase but decided it might be too ambitious given the time constraints.
Page and Mitch chose the social media room and included a social media station with a ring light and desk, as well as a day bed that could be used for podcasting. At the end of the day, the top-scoring team, Bryan and Sarah, won with an average score of 9.1 out of 10.

How is 'Rock The Block’ Season 5 different from previous seasons?
This year, there's an additional twist that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats. The houses up for renovation are none other than attached waterfront homes situated in the picturesque Treasure Island, Florida.
In a groundbreaking move, 'Rock the Block' Season 5 introduced four teams who compete against each other to redeem themselves. Every team was be given a limited time frame of six weeks and a generous budget of $250,000 to undertake the challenging task of renovating a series of adjoining waterfront homes.
These homes possess remarkable amenities, including a sparkling pool, a convenient boat dock, and breathtaking vistas of the picturesque Boca Ciega Bay. The ultimate objective of this project was to completely transform these properties into opulent abodes that not only embody the unique vision and design style of each team but also exude a sense of luxury and sophistication.
