'Wild 'N Out' star Jacky Oh’s surgeon Dr Zachary Okhah sues former patients over botched procedure reviews
MIAMI, FLORIDA: Late 'Wild 'N Out' star Jacky Oh’s Miami plastic surgeon Dr Zachary Okhah has reportedly sued a number of his former patients after they claimed that the doctor botched their procedures in online reviews. The news comes after Dr Okhah came under scrutiny in the wake of the death of Jacky, aka Jacklyn Smith, who flew to Miami to get a “mummy makeover” from Dr Okhah before her sudden demise at 32.
Prior to her death, Smith took to Instagram to share a now-deleted photo with Dr Okhah seemingly before her surgery. In the picture, Smith, the longtime partner of DC Young Fly, could be seen wearing a disposable medical gown while the surgeon could be seen in black scrubs. The caption of the now-removed post read, “Getting ready for my mommy makeover with Dr. Zach!! Stay tuned to my YouTube for the full reveal!”
Who did Dr Zachary Okhah sue?
Dr Okhah, who is a BBL specialist from PH-1 Miami, reportedly sued Leila Penn in July 2021 for more than $30,000, as per reports obtained by Page Six. The patient alleged that the surgeon “mutilated” her in a review she wrote for healthcare marketplace, RealSelf. Dr Okhah denied her claims and said her statements were “false” and defamatory.
He even accused her of allegedly encouraging potential patients to get treatments elsewhere by “directly engaging with” the commenters on the website, court documents obtained by the outlet showed. Dr Okhah eventually dismissed the lawsuit without prejudice in December 2021. That same year, he filed another $30,000 lawsuit against Kyla Neirenburg. The latter reportedly wrote in a Google review that “happy patients” of Dr Okhah “don’t exist.”
In her comment, Neirenburg said patients should read Okhah's reviews on RealSelf because the positive feedbacks were “likely fake” or written by staff or friends of the surgeon. Dr Okhah claimed Neirenburg's review was defamatory but this suit was also voluntarily dismissed without prejudice in December 2021.
