Kim Kardashian does not need any introduction! She is more than a reality TV star. The A-list celebrity also boasts a major presence on social media sites like Instagram, where she’s garnered a whopping 351 million followers.

Recently her daughter North West's joint TikTok account with her was banned, leaving fans confused and looking for answers. However, this account having 15 million followers has been a major point of contention in the past, with dad Kanye West notably rallying against his daughter having a presence on the popular app.

What actually happened?

On April 6, Kim's and North's account was suspended and the reason is still not known. A search for the account doesn’t show up on TikTok, and clicking on the Google search result shows that the site “Can’t find this account.” The mobile app shows that the account has been banned.

Luckily, their accounts were quickly reinstated, and the glitch has since been largely forgotten, although, at the time, fans were confused. While some of them made memes, others were unhappy. Meanwhile, this is not the first time the account has made headlines. Kanye West has previously stated that he does not approve of his daughter North having a presence and being active on the platform.

A user on Twitter wrote, "Meanwhile.... "Kim Kardashian and North West’s TikTok page was banned" It was restored though soon after. Children under 13 aren't allowed on TikTok. But I guess that rule doesn't apply to rich celebs."

Second user wrote, "Kanye West finding out that Kim Kardashian and North West’s TikTok account has been banned."

The third user wrote, "JUST IN: North West and Kim Kardashian’s TikTok account has been banned. Kanye:"

Another user wrote, "After further consideration after watching North West gyrate on the TikTok platform and watching g my nieces gyrate on the platform I’m calling for the US to ban the app for minors ! TikTok is a baddie with its baddie friends and the fact that i know that line iswhyBAN IT #TIKTOK"
