Why was Jackie Romeo eliminated? Viewers blame Reba McEntire as 'The Voice' singer gets eliminated before Live Shows
UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: Jackie Romeo sang "The Story" by Brandi Carlile on the Monday, April 29th edition of 'The Voice'. As the singer's journey on the NBC show came to an abrupt conclusion, fans went to social media to criticize Reba McEntire for sending Jackie home immediately before the Live Shows.
Anthony Ramos and Reba collaborated with Jackie to connect to the lyrics, channeling her passion to captivate the audience during her performance of Brandi's "The Story."
On Reddit, fan one argued, "I'd have taken Jackie over Josh on Reba's team and Kyle over Nadége on Chance's." Another fan added, "Felt like Reba felt like she had to pick Josh because he’s country. And because of that Jackie had to pay the price. She was absolutely robbed!"
Unhappy with Reba's decision, one fan X wrote, "HOW DO YOU LET JACKIE GO???" Another person chimed in, "Just hate to lose Jackie."

Who is Jackie Romeo in 'The Voice' Season 25?
Jackie began her musical adventure at the age of ten, performing in church with her mother. She gained confidence in high school by playing on stages across New York, including wedding venues and the Apollo Theater Amateur Night, where she was a semifinalist.
She further expanded her social media presence by sharing cover songs. However, this newfound visibility also exposed her to unwanted remarks about her weight for the first time. This prompted her to advocate body acceptance and self-love on social media and in her songs, drawing inspiration from singers Lizzo and Adele.
'The Voice's Jackie Romeo released a single alongside Debbie Gibson
Jackie's debut hit, "Pretty Girls," written by Debbie Gibson, explores negative emotions about body image and comparison while eventually focusing on being content with who you are. Since graduating, Jackie has been dedicated to furthering her music career.
She was admitted to Berklee College of Music, but she declined admission to audition for 'The Voice'.
'The Voice' Season 25 airs on Mondays and Tuesdays on NBC at 8 pm and 9 pm ET respectively.
