Pawn Stars' Corey Harrison arrested for DUI in Las Vegas, cops claim reality star was 'swerving'
SIN CITY, LAS VEGAS: 'Pawn Stars' alum Corey Harrison was arrested for driving under the influence in Las Vegas. Corey was released eight hours after he was arrested, as per TMZ.
According to the outlet, Corey was arrested in Sin City early Friday morning, September 8, around 1 am. However, Corey told the outlet that he had jetted back into town from Minnesota.
Corey was reportedly on the way to check on a few short-term rental properties he manages in Las Vegas when he got pulled over. Corey said that the police told him he was pulled over because he was "swerving."
Corey told the outlet that he informed the officers that he had one drink 7 hours ago on his flight home. However, the cop asked Corey to step out of the car and take a field sobriety test.
He revealed that he took the test and asked to take a breathalyzer. But the officer reportedly claimed that the breathalyzer was broken.
According to Corey, the officer then detained him and told him he had failed his field sobriety test. He states that after being taken to a police station, another breathalyzer was found to be inoperable.
The officer told Corey that he would be held in custody all weekend if he did not take a blood test.
However, Corey said that he took the blood test as soon as he could and cops released him about 8 hours later.
Who is Corey Harrison?
'Pawn Stars' cast member Corey Harrison is a famous television personality and businessman who has been a part of the History Channel show for two decades. Corey, whose original name is Richard Corey Harrison, was born in Las Vegas in 1983.
The viewers of the 'Pawn Stars' often see Corey's conflict with his father and grandfather over his knowledge of the shop's inventory, his responsibilities as a manager, and his judgment in sales.
Besides starring in the History Channel show, he also owns a fashion brand HOSSCAMP. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Charlene in 2009 but got divorced in 2015.
Corey married Korina 'Kiki' Harrison in 2017 but they also parted ways just a year later. However, Corey and Korina welcomed their son, Richard Benjamin Harrison, in October 2018.

Cory Harrison's previous trouble with the law
Cory Harrison's DIU arrest wasn't the only legal trouble that he had throughout the year. He was arrested and jailed for allegedly assaulting a police officer, according to FindLaw.
Corey reportedly got into an argument with a bar patron in 2011 at Murray's Saloon and Eatery in Big Bear Lake, California.
The bartender informed a local police officer who attempted to intervene in the situation. However, Corey allegedly shoved the deputy and a security guard at the bar.
He was arrested, booked into the local jail, and released the next day. The police officer said back then, "We did hold him for a couple of hours to let him sober up and then we released him. That's standard procedure for us."

Corey Harrison co-owns the world-famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas with his father, Rick Harrison. He started working at the family-owned business at the age of nine and eventually became the co-owner of the show 'Pawn Stars' shop.
Corey was a manager at the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop and managed 30 employees. He also made more sales than any of the other 'Pawn Stars' cast members.
