Why is 'This Is Us' not airing this week? Here's an update on Season 6 Episode 6
The sixth and final season of NBC’s award-winning drama ‘This Is Us’ is slowly inching toward its conclusion and no points for guessing that it has been one of the most emotional seasons so far. In the last two episodes, we saw Jack Pearson (Milo Ventimiglia) learning about his mother’s death and thinking about the time he couldn’t be with her.
On the other hand, Randall (Sterling K Brown) is facing some rebellious nature from her daughter Deja (Lyric Ross). She has already told them that she’s not leaving Malik and it’s “gonna be a problem” if she is not allowed to meet him. As a result, we see Malik coming to meet Randall and Beth (Susan Kalechi Watson) for dinner. Malik (Asante Blackk) cooks and that’s when Deja announced that she will be moving to Boston with Malik and completing her studies there.

Randall and Beth were really annoyed after learning that. A few moments later, Randall talks to Malik and tells him to leave his daughter. Malik says no and tells him that he won’t talk about this conversation to Deja or she’ll be really upset.

Why is ‘This Is Us’ not airing this week?
The first five episodes of ‘This Is Us’ Season 6 have already aired and it has been an emotional coaster ride. We have seen so many amazing moments that made everyone reach for the tissues. But, fans would have to wait a little longer to know what happens next as the show is on a break and won’t be airing a new episode this week.
Luckily, the ongoing season will be making a comeback next week and air its sixth episode. The show will return to NBC on Tuesday, February 22, at 9 pm EST. Meanwhile, the reason for this break is the broadcast of the ongoing Winter Olympics in Beijing, China.
What to expect from ‘This Is Us’ Season 6 Episode 6?
The promo for Episode 6 reveals that Kevin (Justin Hartley), Rebecca (Mandy Moore), and Beth (Susan Kalechi Watson) will be facing new challenges. In the clip, we see Rebecca and Matt (Matt Corboy) entering the Pearson’s residence. Rebecca is surprised to see young Kevin (Logan Shroyer) and Sophie (Amanda Leighton) waiting for her. The look on Kevin’s face says doesn’t look comforting to us and we might see some problems between the two.
Meanwhile, in the present situation, Kevin gets heartbroken when Madison (Kaitlin Thompson) says that she doesn’t want to spend Thanksgiving with him and wants to stay with her family.
On the other hand, it seems Beth is doing everything and anything to save her dancing career. She did get a new job in a dance academy but things are getting really complicated here. Beth would need to choose the right dancers so that she can follow her passion. Randall is present there to support her, but it seems Beth is low on confidence and would need some motivation to believe in herself.
