Why is Britney Spears' family worried? Singer living alone as her 'support system falls off a cliff' after Sam Asghari split
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Iconic pop singer Britney Spears is facing a challenging time with the end of her marriage to Sam Asghari, leaving her not only without a husband but also without her main pillar of support.
The 29-year-old Asghari has already moved out of Britney's life, residing separately even before the divorce filing.
Asghari, 29, and Spears, 41, started their relationship in 2016 and had a grand wedding in June 2022. However, their marriage ended after just 14 months.
Sources say their separation was initiated by the dancer, who has accused the singer of cheating. But now, things have taken a worse turn as Asghari is accused of using her mental state to extort her.
"[Asghari is] attempting to negotiate concessions beyond his prenup and threatening to go public with extraordinarily embarrassing information about Britney unless he gets paid," an insider alleged, according to Page Six. But a source close to Spears said, "[These claims] are absurd and there is no way her attorney, a former federal prosecutor, would ever let anyone ever extort Britney Spears."
Why is Britney Spears' family worried?
What makes matters more concerning is that Britney is once again estranged from her family. Although a brief reconciliation with her mother, Lynne, had seemed to occur when she visited in May, their relationship has soured again, and communication has ceased.
The 'Toxic' singer is not in contact with her siblings or her father either. To make matters worse, her children from ex-husband Kevin Federline, have moved to Hawaii without any goodbyes, and Britney hasn't spoken to them in a significant amount of time.
The former couple, who parted ways in 2006 following a two-year marriage, are parents to Jayden James, 16, and Sean Preston, 17. Notably, Kevin, 45, holds full custody of their sons. The 'Oops!…I Did It Again' songstress was previously married to Jason Alexander in 2004, but their marriage was annulled within 55 hours.
A source claimed, "She has one confidant, [her manager] Cade [Hudson]. Then there's her security team, and after that her support system falls off a cliff," reported TMZ. The concern now is who will step up to assist Britney in this vulnerable state. Handling matters on her own seems challenging, and her loved ones are growing increasingly worried.
Subsequently, despite the turmoil, Britney's upcoming book, scheduled for release in October, was finalized a few weeks ago and will not include details of the recent split. As Asghari resides separately from Britney, her loved ones are left apprehensive about the situation, hoping for a supportive figure to emerge soon.
