Why did Wanda Sykes cancel appearance on 'The View'? Comedian opts out again, this time due to Alyssa Farah Griffin
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Much to the viewers' dismay, another guest canceled their appearance on 'The View recently'. Comedian and actress Wanda Sykes was nowhere to be seen for her scheduled segment on the talk show. She was instead replaced by Democratic Congressman Adam Schiff.
It is fair to speculate that co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin may be the reason behind the guest's cancellation. This is not the first time Sykes has refused to appear for 'The View' and Griffin was previously the reported to be the reason behind why Sykes deciding not to be a part of the show.
Why did Wanda Sykes cancel her appearance on 'The View'?
Sykes previously canceled her guest appearance on 'The View' because of Farah Griffin's former association with Donald Trump as his assisstant political strategist. The show host worked for the POTUS office in 2020 before leaving her position and going on to become anti-Trump.
But regardless of her change of heart and head about the Republican politician, Sykes refused to share the panel with her. Confider reported that Sykes' publicist made her aware of Griffin's presence on the panel when she was yet to join as the permanent co-host on 'The View'. Sykes has been consistently vocal about her Democratic political leaning and has advocated for voting against all Republicans.
No reported reason for cancellation this time
For the most recent cancellation by Sykes that happened during the Thursday episode, nothing has been reported yet by either 'The View' or the comedian's team. It should still be noted that Griffin was part of the panel for the episode and she could again be the reason behind Sykes' absence.
Schiff led the guest appearance panel this time. The Congressman discussed the censoring he has had to face because of the House Republicans while he worked on the ongoing investigation against former President Trump.
