Why did Taylor Swift and Matty Healy break up? Singer allegedly couldn't stomach rocker's 'sleazy' behaviour

As of early May, Taylor Swift and Matty Healy were rumored to be dating, however, they have since broken up

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: The 'Love Story' singer Taylor Swift and 'The 1975' frontman Matty Healy reportedly ended their relationship after allegedly dating for about a month. The now-separated couple was often spotted together at concert venues of Taylor Swift's Eras tour. According to Radar Online, Swift is still in disbelief over her split from rebound boyfriend Healy because 'The 1975' vocalist "was too sleazy for her stomach to take."

Swift, 33, and Healy, 34, have been linked since the beginning of May. They have been spotted together on several occasions, including on May 15 at the Electric Lady Studios in New York City with celebrities like Jack Antonoff, Margaret Qualley, Kendrick Lamar, and Florence Welch. A close acquaintance of Swift and Healy informed TMZ of their split on June 5. A source told People: "She had fun with him, but it was always casual. They are no longer romantically involved."

'Chubby Chinese lady'

The abrupt end of the 'Shake It Off' singer's one-month romance with the 'Love Me' singer came after a scathing podcast in which Healy reportedly chuckled over crude body-shaming jokes that called Ice Spice musician a "chubby Chinese lady." Healy allegedly made more controversial remarks besides those about Ice Spice. He also raised red flags when his troubling porn preferences resurfaced in media reports. His earlier controversy included kissing female fans in the audience and even pretending to give the Nazi salute at a concert were all too much for the 'Lover' songstress.

According to a source, "The revelations apparently made Taylor sick to her stomach. She had to reconcile her own conscience with what Matty had said and she felt like a fraud to stoop to his level. She knew he was a bit wild, but she wasn't aware of all this." Despite Healy's perverse actions, reports alleged that Swift was still deeply attracted to the British singer and that she grieved after their separation.

Taylor Swift's tumultuous love life

The 'Bad Blood' singer reportedly sobbed as she asked a Chicago performance crowd, "Wondering if I dodged a bullet, or just lost the love of my life?" following the breakup. Additionally, sources claim that the shell-shocked Swift appears to be losing weight drastically after ending two relationships in quick succession.

Just before she began dating Healy, Swift had ended a six-year relationship with British actor Joe Alwyn, 32, in April. An insider claimed at the time, "She would be loath to admit it, but Taylor's world has crumbled since she broke up with Joe. She's stressing out over her tumultuous love life and worried she'll never find anyone." After her breakup with Joe, a different source said, "Taylor will never give up on love. That will never change." The source added, "Taylor hasn't given up on finding the right person."

But turns out Matty Healy wasn't the aforementioned 'right person' either. Healy has also exhibited some bizarre behavior since the break up. Most recently, at a performance in Dublin, Ireland, Healy decided to walk towards a white background and paint a huge SORRY with spray paint while his bandmate Jamie Squire sang a cover of Leon Russell‘s ‘A Song For You’. He stepped back to appraise his work, before going back in to add a question mark. Before that, at the NorthSide Festival in Denmark, Healy planted a kiss on a security guard right in the middle of his band's performance, shocking the audience.
