'GMA' star Robin Roberts took some time out of her schedule to click photos with fans who traveled a long way from Nebraska

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Good Morning America’ host Robin Roberts has amassed a massive fan following, owing to her decades-long tenure and experience in the field of broadcast journalism. From covering sporting events to national emergencies, the 62-year-old has seen it all and enjoyed a successful stint at ‘GMA’ since she came on board as co-anchor in 2005. Given her stature, it’s only expected that Robin has a long list of fans who follow her and meet her at least once.

One such group of dedicated fans took the plunge and made their way to New York to meet the ‘GMA’ anchor. Robin decided to greet them outside the studio but with a slight change in her appearance. She retweeted a snap shared by the fans where the ‘GMA’ host can be seen in slippers right out in the open instead of heels which she usually dons. However, she addressed the change in style later on Twitter.

Why did Robin Roberts change her appearance?

The ‘GMA’ anchor shocked her fans with a change in appearance as she displayed a surprising look while taking photos with a few fans. Robin was coming off from her duty as the co-host of the morning show and slipped into something more comfortable while greeting her fans. The ‘GMA’ host wore a form-fitting, cream-colored dress that featured green, red, and orange stripes as she stood outside the New York City studio with her fans.

She was wearing the same outfit during the broadcast but had substituted her high heels for a pair of smiley-face emoji slippers while taking the photo. The fan captioned the post: "Good Morning America! @RobinRoberts," to which Robin responded, "Enjoyed meeting you!” Robin acknowledged the post and admired their patience as the group of fans arrived from Nebraska to meet Robin. She retweeted the fan’s photo with a caption, “Thanks for visiting from Nebraska… nice to meet you! (You caught me in my comfy slippers!)” Her laid-back look stood out in the photo and didn’t seem to bother her at all.

In July 2023, Robin was covering Wimbledon, the annual Tennis tournament in London, and shared a few throwback photos from the time when she first covered the sporting event. Her style from the 90s was complemented as well with fans and followers adoring his fluffy hair, blazers with exaggerated shoulder pads, teamed with chunky gold earrings and necklaces. The nostalgic post gained a lot of adoration from her co-hosts with Lara Spencer stating, "So great. Love seeing these,” while meteorologist Ginger Zee complimented her for sharing her memories, “Loving these throwbacks.”
