Why did Miranda Lambert stop her concert midway? Irked concertgoers blast singer for being 'rude'
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: During a recent concert as part of her Las Vegas residency, Country star Miranda Lambert stopped mid-performance. While performing 'Tin Man', she unexpectedly stopped mid-song to scold certain fans in the audience, who were busy taking selfies.
A viral video of the moment showed Lambert saying, “I’m going to stop right here for a second. These girls are worried about their selfie and not listening to the song. It’s pissing me off a little bit. I don’t like it at all. We’re here to hear some country music tonight. I’m singing some country damn music."

Why did Miranda Lambert stop her concert midway?
Adela Calin, the fan in question, shared her perspective on the incident. She said that she felt "appalled" by the singer's reaction, particularly since the selfie only took "30 seconds at most."
"It felt like I was back at school with the teacher scolding me for doing something wrong and telling me to sit down back in my place. I feel like she was determined to make us look like we were young, immature and vain. But we were just grown women in our 30s to 60s trying to take a picture, Calin further stated, as per NBC News, adding, “We took the picture quickly and were going to sit back down."

The 43-year-old social media influencer explained that she and her group were unable to capture a good picture before the show started. As a result, they decided to ask someone to take their photo towards the end of the concert. "We were so excited because I think we had the best seats in the house in the whole theater," she said.
‘Completely rude’
Lambert's episode did not go unnoticed as fans took to Twitter to slam her. One wrote, “Maybe she should have asked that fans not take pictures during this song. Make it a general statement. Phones are allowed, they paid to see her, maybe don’t embarrass them. I like Miranda, but this just seems mean spirited, even if that wasn’t her intention. I can see how all singers get tired of seeing phones when they sing." Another penned, “These people were in VIP and paid a lot of money to see her. Who is she to stop the show and scold them like that??! You don’t talk to fans like that, they can take pictures of themselves whenever they damn please. Ugh she’s always rubbed me the wrong way." Another disappointed fan commented, “Completely rude and handled the way I would expect from Miranda- trashy and lack of manners. Those women 1, weren’t taking a selfie. It was a group pic. 2, paid I’m sure and arm & a leg to be there, and 3 weren’t harming anyone."

Lambert is presently the headliner for the Velvet Rodeo residency, which is being held at the Zappos Theater inside the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. Originally scheduled to conclude earlier, the show has been extended until December 2023 due to popular demand.
