LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: American media personality Courtney Stodden has reportedly parted ways with their fiance Chris Sheng. According to TMZ, the pair allegedly decided to call off their engagement after nearly seven years of relationship. Sources close to the now-former couple told the publication that they already separated six months ago and that their split was "mutual."

Speaking about the reason behind Stodden and Sheng's breakup, one insider told the outlet that "the car was out of gas." Other sources claimed that their relationship allegedly began to crumble quite some time ago and stated that Stodden's friends allegedly felt "something was off" between them and Sheng from the time they started dating. However, Stodden and Sheng are yet to issue a public statement about their alleged split, at the time of writing.

In the wake of Stodden and Sheng's break up, some of their former friends told TMZ that they thought there was some form of jealousy and insecurities between the pair while they were together. The friends also alleged that Stodden said they did not "feel seen" with Sheng. Several people around the model also agreed with the statement and allegedly said they never thought the couple were meant to be together.

Inside sources also told the publication that Stodden and Sheng regularly saw each other after their split as they were living under the same roof at the time. When did Courtney Stodden and Chris Sheng get engaged?

Stodden and Sheng were reportedly in a nearly seven-year-long on-and-off relationship prior to their recent separation. The duo allegedly started dating in 2017 after Stodden's divorce from first husband Doug Hutchinson. As per the Daily Mail, Stodden moved in with Sheng in the latter's $3 million Beverly Hills home in 2018. The duo sparked brief break-up speculation in 2020 but eventually got back together.

The 'Couples Therapy' star announced their engagement to Sheng in May 2021 and took to Instagram to show off their engagement ring in a now-deleted Boomerang video. "I said yes... OH and the ring made me gag it's so beautiful," Stodden wrote at the time. "So this happened! Not how I planned but the moment was right," Sheng added in his now-deleted Instagram post. "On Friday, May 28 I proposed to the love of my life and they said Yes," he continued as per Daily Mail.

"I feel so blessed and fortunate. We have both grown so much since we first met, and the fact that we have both been able to grow into better, stronger, more secure individuals while still being in a relationship together makes me have faith that this partnership will last a lifetime. For the first time we're both experiencing unconditional love. The truest kind of love. The kind where we may not always like each other but will ALWAYS love each other. I promise to always be your rock, support, and shoulder to lean on - no matter what. I got you. Ily," Sheng detailed in his post.
