Why did Ana Navarro never have children? 'The View' host says she and husband Al Cardenas tried to become parents
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ana Navarro is a Nicaraguan-American political strategist and a well-known personality on television. Navarro has appeared on CNN, and ABC News, and is now most popularly known for being the co-host of the popular American daytime talk show, ‘The View.’ Outside of her booming career, Navarro lives a peaceful life in Miami with her husband, Al Cardenas, and her dog, ChaCha.
However, if there’s one thing missing from Navarro’s life, it's children. Her co-hosts on 'The View,' Sara Haines, Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin, all have children, which prompted Navarro to talk a little more openly about why she never had any.
‘Al and I tried’
In 2022, Navarro opened up about why she never had children, and she did so on the beloved talk show, ‘The View.’ Her husband and her had attempted to have a baby through vitro fertilization, however, it did not pan out in their favor as the procedure was unsuccessful. Navarro shared with her co-hosts and the audience, “By the time I tried, it was too late, with IVF, Al and I tried." This confession came after a discussion about timelines that are often infringed on women to plan their whole lives. As per People magazine, Navarro also advised women, "I always tell women who are career women who are trying to get into that space, 'Look, if you can afford it, and that's a big if, if you can afford it, you should freeze your eggs just because it leaves you with a level of options."
Ana Navarro currently lives her best life
Although Navarro wasn’t blessed with a baby, that didn’t stop her from living her life to the fullest. Navarro often shares glimpses of her life on Instagram, and that includes vacations and swimming with her husband and dog while sipping margaritas. Navarro also recently bought a 7-foot pink flamingo statue for her back terrace, and she is still reeling in from the excitement of Lionel Messi moving to Miami. Apart from these, Navarro has been the voice for many people in the country who are disappointed with the political climate. ‘The View’ co-host doesn’t hold back from sharing her opinions on the talk show or on social media, despite the frequent backlash.
