ITALY, EUROPE: Alicia Silverstone, who was one of Hollywood's biggest actresses in the '90s, appears to be venturing into the realm of modeling, making a mark three decades later. The 46-year-old actress, who recently gave up on acting, has become designer Christian Siriano's muse. 

Silverstone took to Instagram to share a photo of herself striking a pose in another captivating creation by Siriano while staying in the picturesque Lake Como, Italy. Over a week ago, the duo commenced documenting their time with photoshoots at a stunning residence situated on the shores of the lake.

In the photo, Silverstone looked absolutely stunning as she stood on the steps of a beautiful home wearing a sheer black-patterned gown that cascaded several feet in every direction. She captioned the photo, "'Alexa, play “Back To Black” by Amy Winehouse @Csiriano'." The reference to the iconic R&B songstress's hit added a touch of humor to her post.

Styled by professionals on the set, Silverstone's blonde tresses were voluminous, pulled back from her face, and elegantly flowing past her shoulders with a side part. It is worth noting that this photo was part of a series taken more than a week earlier, as Siriano had also shared the same image, along with another taken on the same steps.

Why did Alicia Silverstone step away from Hollywood?

Silverstone had spoken in previous interviews why she decided to step away from acting. She stated she was not "happy" in Hollywood. Despite launching her career with notable roles in movies such as 'The Crush' and 'Clueless', she felt uncomfortable with the fame. "I wasn't happy and what I did was really extract myself a bit from my acting career and went more into my activism," she reportedly said.

Despite some iconic roles, she realized she was not enjoying herself and made the decision to step away from the industry by the end of the '90s.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Silverstone discussed the impact of her breakout role in 'Clueless' and the subsequent change in her public image. "When Clueless came out, it really shifted. I had been the girl from Crush, then I was the Aerosmith chick, and then, after that, I was Cher," she said.

Silverstone added, "It was very complicated, and I don't think I knew how to manage it: I didn't have the foundation, the good tools to deal with it, I wasn't prepared for it in any way, shape, or form. I really had no idea what was happening, and it didn't feel comfortable." Her admission highlighted the difficulties she faced in navigating her newfound celebrity status and the lack of support she had at the time to cope with the pressures and expectations that came with it.
