BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA: Kaivon Washington, 18, one of the suspects in Madison Brooks's murder, recorded extremely vulgar songs where he called women 'b*****s. In the diss track, the suspect can be seen mocking the death of a football player Remy Hidalgo who died after a heat stroke on the field in 2020. The other suspects in the rape case include Everett Lee, Casen Carver, and a 17-year-old juvenile.

According to Daily Mail, Washington's mother Ashley Roberson claimed the 18-year-old was "evil" for mocking the death of the player. In the audio of the song, the suspect can be heard saying "the sun left him dead", referring to the player's death. In another line, he stated, "I got a Glock at home with lead. Anything I said for you purple and gold b*****, I don't give a f*** about any of y'all." Here purple and gold represent the uniform color of Denham Springs.

Hidalgo, initially known as Remy Kevin Hidalgo, was a junior offensive line member of the Denham Springs High School football team and powerlifting team. He was born to Ashley Roberson and Kerry Hidalgo. After his death, a new law called Remy Hidalgo law was also formed. It claimed, "Relative to the health and safety of students who participate in school-sanctioned athletics; to provide for an emergency action plan; to provide for coaches certification program; to provide for sports injury management program," as per LATA. He suffered from a heat stroke and died on September 18, 2020.

Livingston Parish Schools released a statement back then, "Today, the Livingston Parish Public School family and community mourns the loss of one of our student-athletes, Remy Hidalgo, a junior at Denham Springs High School. Everyone is very saddened by this news. We all were praying and hoped for his recovery. School counselors will be available today and in the coming days for any students or faculty who may need assistance. We ask for prayers today for his family and this community as we struggle with the loss of such a special young man," as per WBRZ.

His mother wrote on Facebook, "Today officially marks the most impossible day in my life. How will I get through life without you? The love of my life. My baby boy! You could not have been more perfect if you tried. You were loved more than you will ever know. You were the best son, brother, grandson, and friend. I wish I could take your place I don’t want to hear you are in a better place !! You are supposed to be with me. You still had too many things to finish and accomplish. I am mad right now!! Very mad!!!!! This is not fair I just want you back. I love you more than a human could love another human. I love you to heaven and back my sweet angel."

Hidalgo's mother told Daily Mail, "When all of this first happened with Madi Brooks, I wanted to just bring it up again to address what he was like and to get justice because he has just gotten away with so much." She added, "This isn't rape, but it shows his character. I hope he realizes how many people he has hurt with this ... What I don't understand is why someone like Remy, who was a friend to everyone and brightened their day is taken from us when evil like him is lurking around in the world."

Roberson also claimed, "They played football against each other, they were rivals but before after Remy passed, he was very pleasant and he told me how my son was wonderful, and he had a lot of respect for him. It made it even more of a shock that this happened, Remy was loved by everyone and changed people's lives – he brought light to the room. To hear something like this was just devastating to me."

The grieving mother also added, ''None of what he has been accused of surprises me. He was forced to come to me with an apology, not because he wanted to. I don't care what anyone says, I don't know how you can find this funny. My son passes away through no fault of his own, doing what he loves and this boy is making fun of his death. He also says graphic things about doing things to girls, and also threatens to shoot his teammates in the rap. He may think it was funny, but it was very hurtful. People think it's teenage stuff but it's more than that. From everything he has done, it seems like there must be something wrong with him. He acts like this over and over, and the scary part is that he continues to be allowed to do these things."

Roberson reportedly also reached out to Washington's mother to enquire regarding the track as she said, "I reached out to his mom, and she acted like she was concerned, and couldn't understand it because he was a good person and a leader in the church. It just isn't the case; I've been told by people that she just lets him get away with things and do whatever he wants, so this behavior continues."

Further, Roberson claimed, "There were no repercussions for him. I told his school that it broke their cyberbullying policy and they said that there was nothing they could do. A teacher has told me that she was scared of him, scared to turn her back on him because he threatened her. His mother seems to stick up for him, he laughed in the song and it sounds like he laughed at Madi brooks too. It's awful. Does this sound like a good kid or a church leader? Does this sound like someone who wouldn't possibly commit a crime like what was done to Madison Brooks? Something needs to be done before someone else is hurt or killed. This is someone with no remorse for anyone or his own actions."
