Who was Mohammad Izaan Danish? Boy, 8, dies of Strep-A after he was 'sent home from hospital twice'
BRADFORD, WEST YORKSHIRE: An eight-year-old schoolboy has died from Strep A after allegedly being sent home from the hospital twice. His mother Sajida Jabeen claimed that Mohammad Izaan Danish was given doses of ibuprofen and a nebulizer only after the doctors recognized the severity of his condition two days later. Jabeen, who is also a mother of two others, said she had to wait for six hours on two separate occasions at Bradford Royal Infirmary while none of her requests for assistance were being taken seriously.
During their first visit, Danish was sent home after being given Ibuprofen and when the mother-son duo returned to the hospital, Jabeen said that her son was forced to sit on the hospital floor while he was suffering from severe chest pains. The mother explained that the true extent of Danish's illness was only noted at a GP appointment, who advised her to immediately take her son back to the hospital for treatment. However, more than three weeks later, on January 6, Danish died from pneumonia, a known complication of Strep A, as per The Telegraph.

Who was Mohammad Izaan Danish?
As per the outlet, the hospital trust has confirmed to launch a “thorough investigation” into his death. Jabeen, on the other hand, was “angry” that doctors had not realized the severity of his condition sooner. The infection has killed a total of 30 children in England since the season kicked off in September, as per the outlet.
Jabeen, a full-time mother from Bradford, West Yorkshire, said that Mohammad was taken to the Bradford Royal Infirmary’s A&E department on December 10 after his cough and temperature worsened. The young boy had begun feeling unwell sometime around December 9. After waiting nearly six hours for assistance, the doctors simply gave him medicine and sent them home. When the pair returned to the same hospital the next evening after Danish began feeling chest pains, Jabeen said that they had to once again endure another long wait and were made to sit on the floor due to a lack of chairs.

They started checking on him, and that was it,” she said, as per the DailyMail. As per the media outlet, Jabeen described her son as a “happy smiling” boy who liked playing football and “wanted to do lots of things.” Chief medical officer for the Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Dr Ray Smith said: “I would like to send our sincere and heartfelt condolences to Izaan’s parents on the tragic death of their son. I will conduct a thorough investigation and the findings will be shared with Izaan’s parents once completed.”
