LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kris Jenner's sister, Karen Houghton, recently died at the age of 65. She was a former flight attendant and lived in San Diego. She attended San Diego State University. Karen was married to Mark Zettel and shared a daughter Natalie. Karen and Mark got married in 1996 and got divorced in 2002.
Karen often reflected on her regular life on Facebook, and her last social media post featured a sweet selfie of her daughter, Natalie and mother, MJ. Meanwhile, the San Diego County Sheriff's Department told TMZ they received a call for medical aid in the afternoon of March 18. However, fire officials already provided lifesaving measures for Karen before the medical assistance arrival. It's currently unclear what caused the medical help call but the officials believed that Kris's sister died because of natural causes.

'The Kardashians' star Kris Jenner took to her social media and shared a series of throwback photos with her sister, Karen Houghton. The reality star penned a long tribute for her late sister. She wrote, "It is with the heaviest heart and deepest sadness that I share that my sister Karen passed away yesterday unexpectedly."
Kris added in the tribute, "My heart aches for my mom MJ and my niece Natalie and I pray that God guides us all through this difficult time." Kris also shared that Karen was "beautiful inside and out. She was the sweetest, kindest, the most sensitive and vulnerable and so so funny." Kris further noted that Karen held a huge part of her heart and she cherished every single memory they had spent together.
Hulu show star concluded her caption and noted, "Karen’s passing is a reminder that life is so short and precious and tomorrow is never promised. We must tell those we cherish how much we love them. I love you my beautiful sister."

Karen Houghton and Kris Jenner had a strained relationship. The sister's duo were once also not in contact. Kris and Karen's relationship took a dramatic turn at Kim Kardashian's 2013 baby shower when 'The Kardashians' star's younger sister talked to the reporters outside, despite reportedly signing an NDA.
Karen later called out Kris and claimed to Radar Online, "You know what drives Kris?" Houghton, a San Diego-based nurse, asked. "Power, power, power and money. It’s called wanting power, Gucci purses, Bentleys, all the things I don’t care about that she does."
