SHERMAN OAKS, CALIFORNIA: June Blair, who played the role of the wife of her real-life husband, David Nelson, on ‘The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet’ is no more. Blair died on Monday, December 5, of natural causes at her home. She was 90 years old.

Blair’s death was confirmed through a tribute post on Facebook by her niece, Tracy Kristine Nelson, who wrote, "Sweet, gorgeous Aunt June Blair Nelson has passed away. God bless James and Dan, I love you." While many shared their condolences saying, "RIP June Blair."

Born on October 30, 1932, in San Francisco, Blair made her first onscreen appearance in 1956 on CBS’ 'Our Miss Brooks,' reports Yahoo! In January 1957, she became Playboy’s Playmate of the Month. Following this, Blair, who appeared in 1957 'Hell Bound,' and later in 'The Best of Everything' in 1959, married Nelson in 1960.

Blair joined the cast of 'The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet' and appeared in 28 episodes of the popular series from 1961 to 1966. Even though she played other characters in the series, she was suddenly introduced as Mrs June Nelson on 'The Newlyweds Get Settled,' the third episode of the show’s 10th season.

Nelson, the elder son of Ozzie and Harriet Nelson, starred in 'The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet' featuring his parents and his brother Rick. The series ran in the US for 435 episodes from 1952-1966. Born in New York, he also starred in the films like 'Peyton Place,' 'The Remarkable Mr Pennypacker,' 'The Big Circus' and 'The Big Show.'

Talking about Nelson, who died in 2011 of colon cancer at age 74, in a 1963 interview, Blair said as quoted by The Hollywood Reporter, “I’ve always been an independent girl. I was afraid the Nelsons might try to absorb me, as it were, but they haven’t. The way it’s worked out, they’re there if I need them, and they’re not there when I don’t.”

Nelson and Blair, who had two sons, Daniel and James, divorced in 1975 and she never remarried. However, prior to their marriage, Blair was engaged to the singer Nino Tempo in 1957 and reportedly dated Bobby Darin, Dick Sargent and Lindsay Crosby, states the outlet.
