LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNAI: Jaquelin Carrieri, a former beauty queen and actress from Argentina, tragically died after undergoing plastic surgery in Los Angeles.
The 48-year-old had two children, Chloe and Julian, who accompanied her on the trip.
Jaquelin Carrieri was a well-known figure and a crowned queen
Jaquelin was a well-known figure in the San Rafael district of Mendoza province where she participated in the local grape harvest festival in 1996.
She was crowned queen of her district, Punta del Agua once, and came as Deputy Queen of the San Rafael Department in the Vendimia grape harvest festival in Argentina in 1996.
She also designed dresses for other pageant queens for many years, the Sun reported.
"From Reinas de San Rafael, we want to extend our condolences to her family and friends during this difficult time," a Facebook post read.
“She was a woman of great talent, always with her smile and her glamour,” said Reinas Vendimiales San Rafael Mendoza, a Facebook page dedicated to the beauty queens of the region.
"In her youth, she was also Deputy Queen of the San Rafael en Vendimia festival. She was also the ex-partner of the son of the renowned journalist Jorge Quintana," the page read.

Jaquelin also studied at the National University of Lomas de Zamora near Buenos Aires and was the ex-partner of the son of renowned journalist Jorge Quintana.

Her family announced her death on her Instagram page on Sunday, October 1, saying, “We want to extend our condolences to her family and friends during this difficult time," Daily Mail reported.
What caused Jaquelin Carrieri's death?
Reinas Vendimiales San Rafael Mendoza posted that Jaquelin suffered a blood clot as a result of complications from the cosmetic operation.
It is unclear what type of surgery she underwent. Her friend Jorgelina Olivera paid tribute to her.
“All of us who had the pleasure of knowing you and sharing moments of our lives with you know what a wonderful person you were, a beautiful woman in every sense," Olivera said.
"Your departure has taken me by surprise and I still can’t believe it," she added.
Jaquelin was days away from celebrating her 49th birthday when she died in Los Angeles. Her children were by her side when she passed away.
