NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: If you have ever watched the famous 'coffee scene' in the movie 'Heat', you'll know just how charismatic and sexy Al Pacino and Robert De Niro were as young men. But to choose between them? On Saturday, a Twitter user did exactly that — asking followers which of these two actors they felt was hotter: a young Robert De Niro or Al Pacino?The query was posted by journalist Ashley Reese to her 60,500 followers on Tuesday, following the birth of De Niro's seventh child.

Meanwhile, following his retrospective interview with the 92nd Street Y in New York City, Pacino, 83, has been in fans' thoughts. The wedding guest sent a tweet that featured a poll, asking followers to choose which actor born in New York City is the "sexiest of all time". She wrote, "At a wedding and having a big debate rn. Please vote. Who was hotter."

Reese's post soon gained popularity and ended with more than 277,000 votes on Sunday night. Social media users appeared to be evenly split, much like those at the wedding, resulting in a split decision in the final ballot.

Later, in reaction to the survey, Reese said, "This 50/50 tie is incredible.You're really a young Pacino or a young De Niro." While this was happening, fans promoted their favorite by sharing several nice images of each actor when they were younger and numerous snippets of both De Niro and Pacino from their parts in different movies throughout the years.

'Pacino was prettier but De Niro was hotter'

Many individuals expressed their opinions for the poll, as one of the users hilariously wrote, "Pacino was prettier but De Niro was hotter." Another user wrote, "the results saying de niro was hotter when these hoodie photos exist. are you ppl out of your minds." A third user wrote, "the only correct answer is pacino. i can't even believe this is up for debate.. like have y'all not seen his 1961 mugshot photo? or the letter he wrote to diane keaton??? al pacino is for the girls"

De Niro and Pacino's representatives declined to comment when asked to react to the poll by The Post. The internet discussion started about a week after De Niro and his girlfriend Tiffany Chen announced that the 'The Irishman' was a daddy again.
