Who owns Fiola Mare? Bidens host Emmanuel Macron and wife Brigitte at upscale Italian restaurant in DC
WASHINGTON, DC: On Wednesday, November 30, President Biden and first lady Jill Biden joined French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte to have dinner at Fiola Mare, an expensive DC Italian eatery which offers a stunning view of the Potomac River. President Biden posted a tweet with a photo of the two couples sitting at a table in the restaurant with a window view, writing, “Welcoming some friends to town.” Fiola Mare is an award-winning Italian seafood restaurant by chef-owner Fabio Trabocchi.

As expected not everyone was happy as several social media users reacted to this casual outing by the two presidents. One user wrote on Twitter, "You take more vacations than any president in history." The president and his wife broke local indoor masking laws at the same restaurant last year. The first couple was captured on camera in October 2021 strolling through the upscale seafood restaurant without masks while being followed by Secret Service personnel wearing masks. Meanwhile, the casual visit of two presidents comes just a day before Biden is preparing to host Macron at the White House on Thursday, December 1.

As president, according to CNN, Biden is hosting his first state dinner as the formal affairs have been on hold because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Thursday's state dinner at the White House is to honor France as the country that has been an ally of the United States for the longest. Following tomorrow night's state banquet, Macron will travel to New Orleans, making history as the first French president to do so in 45 years.
