LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Good Morning America’ has produced another hilarious moment on live TV with one of its anchors messing up one of the most iconic lines in movie history. Whit Johnson, filling in for George Stephanopoulos was behind the desk on the morning show and botched up ‘Mission Impossible’s popular dialogue, "Your mission, if you choose to accept it,” on-air as one of the hosts was discussing the upcoming summer movies.

Whit is the co-anchor of the weekend editions of 'Good Morning America' and also the fill-in and substitute anchor of 'GMA' and ABC World News Tonight. Whit confidently began, trying to sign off with the movie’s memorable dialogue but messed up towards the end, forcing a hearty giggle from the co-hosts in the studio.

What did Whit say?

Whit’s co-host DeMarco Morgan was discussing the movies that are expected to release this summer. As the hosts weighed in with their opinions about these upcoming summer flicks, Whit revealed he liked to go a few weeks after the fact for some movies, and that apparently gave him an idea of what to say next. Unfortunately, he never envisioned that he would botch up one of the greatest lines in cinema and make a fool of himself on live air.

He started confidently and then lost his way, eventually hilariously acknowledging his mess. "By the way, DeMarco, stick around if you would, because if you're… if you choose to accept this mission, which I've totally messed up the line already...” Whit started giggling as he looked down, forcing the co-hosts in the studio to laugh as well. The 41-year-old was trying to make a joke based on the popular Mission: Impossible line: "your mission, if you choose to accept it," but mixed up his words. "You were so close," Whit’s co-host added.

A no stranger to blunders

During another episode of 'GMA', Whit showed off his basketball skills while he interviewed players from the iconic Harlem Globetrotters team. The ABC anchor excitedly dribbled with an invisible ball on the stage, flexing his ball-handling abilities before he asked one of the Globetrotters to pass him the "rock [ball].” He impressed everyone and his co-host, Eva Pilgrim requested him to "the bake and shake.” The 41-year-old anchor messed up the popular sports phase, leaving everyone in splits in the studio from Eva to the Globetrotters team. He later realized his mistake and corrected himself.
