Netflix's 'One Piece' Season 2 introduces Tony Tony Chopper with a voice cast spanning continents
With the countdown officially on, Netflix is beginning to lift the curtain on what fans can expect from 'One Piece' Season 2. Less than three months before the live-action series returns, the streamer has released a new behind-the-scenes featurette that offers both fresh footage and insight into how the ambitious second chapter came together. The preview reunites viewers with the Straw Hat crew while teasing a much larger, riskier adventure waiting just beyond the horizon. The newly released sneak peek spotlights Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy alongside Mackenyu (Zoro), Emily Rudd (Nami), Jacob Romero Gibson (Usopp), and Taz Skylar (Sanji).
One of the biggest talking points surrounding the new season is the introduction of Tony Tony Chopper, a fan-favorite character whose arrival has long been anticipated by longtime followers of Eiichiro Oda's manga and anime. As previously announced, Mikaela Hoover, known for her work in 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3', will provide the English voice for Chopper in the Netflix series. However, Chopper's global presence goes far beyond a single performance, as revealed by BleedingCool. The production has assembled a worldwide voice cast to bring Chopper to life in multiple languages.
The iconic character will be voiced by Ikue Otani in Japan, reprising her legendary role from the original 'One Piece' anime. Other regions will hear Chopper through performances by Mitchiko Tiongson in the Philippines, Meaghan Dendraël in France, Martin Halm in Germany, and Valentina Favazza in Italy. The global lineup also includes Okjoo Jeong (Korea), Adibah Hakimah Abdul Kahar (Malaysia), Agatha Paulita (Brazil), Nallely Solís (Mexico), Elena Jiménez (Spain), Pimpida Pitaksonggram (Thailand), and Malvína Pachlová (Czech Republic).
India is represented by three separate voice performances, with Mageshwari Dhanashekar handling Tamil, Besta Varada Honeyritha voicing the Telugu version, and Swapnil Kumari lending her voice to the Hindi and Hindi Latin dubs. Mandarin-speaking audiences in Taiwan will hear Chopper voiced by Zhan Ya Jing. Beyond voice casting, the featurette offers a closer look at the craftsmanship behind season 2. Viewers are taken onto sprawling new sets designed to capture the unpredictable nature of the Grand Line. Brief glimpses of new action sequences hint at more intense battles and complex choreography, reflecting the increasingly powerful enemies the Straw Hats will face.
Narratively, season 2 marks a turning point for the series. As Luffy and his crew venture into the legendary Grand Line, they leave behind relatively familiar territory for a stretch of sea known for its chaos, mystery, and lethal challenges. The journey brings them face-to-face with bizarre islands, powerful adversaries, and tests that threaten to fracture the crew's unity. At the heart of it all remains Luffy's unshakable dream of finding the world's greatest treasure and becoming King of the Pirates. Tudum has confirmed that 'One Piece: Into the Grand Line' premieres on March 10, 2026, exclusively on Netflix.
