Nick Viall questions Gerry Turner's love for late wife as 'The Golden Bachelor' star started dating while her 'body was barely cold'
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES: Nick Viall once again bagged the headlines as he trolled 'The Golden Bachelor's 72-year-old lead Gerry Turner for dipping in the dating pool just after his wife's death.
Nick said in his 'Virtual Reali-Tea' podcast, "It’s tough to watch an entire season of Gerry selling this entire narrative that all he’s been doing since the passing of his wife was cry, play pickleball and occasionally have this weird one-on-one moment with some hand lotion," according to Page Six.
The 'Viall Files' host went on to slam the ABC star for starting to find love again soon after his wife's death.
Nick said, "And in reality, we come to find out that the body was barely cold before he started dating. And it opens up a lot of questions about what was going on."
However, Nick believes dating at this age shouldn't be something that Gerry should be ashamed of.
He then blamed the show for portraying Gerry's character as a "clean" one. "The show itself sometimes tries to craft a narrative about their leads that even the leads are a little uncomfortable with because it almost feels like, 'I’m not that squeaky clean' type of thing," added Nick.
Nick continued to slam the show and said, "So I think sometimes that is the fault of the show, this kind of narrative. He didn’t cheat on anyone from what we know."

But, that claim was proved wrong as The Hollywood Reporter discovered Gerry's romantic entanglements. His narrative was contradicted as the "retired restaurateur" was reported to have had a girlfriend shortly after his wife's death.
He had nearly a 3-year relationship with the woman. They started dating just a month after Gerry's wife's death. According to the reports, "He dated a couple of women. They weren’t all long-term, but they weren’t short-term either. He was with a couple of women for a decent amount of time, but it just didn’t work out."
