Who is The Hood? MCU introduces new baddie in Anthony Ramos' Parker Robbins in 'Ironheart'
The Hood is the latest baddie to foray into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Playing the character will be 'Hamilton' star, Anthony Ramos in the upcoming limited series,'Ironheart'. The set photos shared by JustJared went viral on Twitter with fans sharing their two cents on the villain. Ramos' confirmation along with a comic-accurate suit saw the internet give a thumbs-up.
For those unaware, the Hood sees Parker Robbins who comes across a mystical cloak that gives him superpowers. He was first seen in the Marvel MAX series by Brian K Vaughn and Kyle Hotz. The sorcerer also sees slinging a pistol as a weapon of choice. Introducing The Hood comes off as one of the more sensible movies considering the character plays a role in 'Secret Invasion' where it is revealed that he acquired his powers from Dormammu, the antagonist in 'Doctor Strange'.

Ironheart series rumored to be in the works at Disney+, fans want none other than Riri Williams
"We started shooting Marvel. Shit's fire," Ramos explained in a Livestream on his Instagram account last month. "Yesterday was my first day. It went well. Shit's about to be crazy." Adding to this was also Dominique Thorne who plays Riri Williams, the titular character on the show. "I was at home in Delaware and I got a call asking if I would like to play this role. It was the best phone call I could have ever received," Thorne previously said (via comicbook.com).
"I was so shocked, in fact, that there was a considerable lag in the conversation! (laughs). I was waiting for them to say, like, 'Oh, we'll send you the sides,' or, 'Get your tape over to us.' But there was none of that. It was just like, 'Would you like to do this?' It was probably the most unique experience I've ever had because there was no audition at all."
"For me, at this point, it's really about the story," she added. "That's what many of us who enter into this profession think. What draws you in is the ability to tell stories that mean something to people. In high school, the motto was to empathize, to empower, or to educate and so that is what I still abide by today. So hopefully, I'm involved in a story that is doing that. There are real people with real stories and real emotions at the center of it. Even if it's not my experience or your experience, it allows somebody the opportunity to be changed; the opportunity to have their mind expanded or get educated in a new way. I think that's one of the most beautiful and powerful things that this form is capable of."
Thorne will make her debut in 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever', which is set to release later this year, before starring in her own Disney+ series.
