BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND: English comedian Rickey Smiley has announced the death of his eldest son Brandon Smiley, through an Instagram video post on Monday, January 30. The prankster, who is popular for fooling people by making random calls is currently mourning and he has asked his fans to ‘pray' for his family. Smiley also mentioned, in particular, to pray for his ex-wife Brenda, Brandon’s siblings, and daughter Storm, "I lost my oldest son, “#BrandonSmiley this morning. I'm okay, but please pray for my son's mother Brenda, his siblings, and his daughter Storm," he captioned the post.
Smiley in the video observed that “life comes with a lot of twists and turns.” The stand-up comedian told his followers that he was doing okay, but couldn’t think straight since he was pretty sad. Smiley added that he will soon connect with his fans over Instagram to update them about the situation. The grieving father also shared the pain his grandparents must have gone through, "Now I see what my granddaddy went through and why he felt the way he felt. My granddaddy went through this s**t with my dad and somehow, here I am going through the same thing my grandparents went through. So just pray for our family."

Who is Brenda Morris?
Brenda Morris, Brandon Smiley’s mother married comedian Rickey Smiley when she was a teenager and the couple had four children together, namely Brandon Smiley, 32, D’Essence, 25, Aaryn, 21, and Malik Smiley, 21. She was married to Morning Show podcaster for 12 years and later tied the knot with her husband Tarius. “I was married for 12 years,” said the 54-year-old comedian during an interview with Pierre Edwards in an episode of the Panic Room podcast. The host responded, he “did nine.” Rickey clarified during the interview that the couple had a strong connection, “[She] never cheated, nothing,” where Pierre responded with, “He’s a different kind of guy.” Brenda, 50, celebrated her 24th marriage anniversary with Tarius in April, last year, with whom she shares a daughter Taylor Green, reports Gossip Next Door. Currently, she works on her stepdad’s Radio One – Rickey Smiley Morning Show as an assistant producer.
Smiley started with, "I just have bad news this morning. My son, Brandon Smiley, passed away this morning. Pray for my son's mother and my son's siblings, pray for my son and my daughter, everybody that was raised with Brandon." Brandon Smiley walked the same path as his father, by picking the same career as a standup comedian and actor.
