NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox has gone through several at-work romance episodes in the recent past. But no work relationship scandal has had quite the run as 'Fox & Friends' host Pete Hegseth. 

Here's all you need to know about his current wife Jennifer Hegseth and how the two got together through multiple hurdles in their relationship. 

Who is Jennifer Hegseth?

After acquiring a degree in journalism from Towson University in Maryland, Jennifer went on to work in TV production. She kicked off her career as a production assistant for WIPX-TV in the early 2000s. 

Eventually, Hegseth was able to score it big and started working for the Fox network. She worked as an executive producer and also joined the show 'Watters' World', which was hosted by Jesse Watters, as a producer in 2015 until it was canceled last year. 

Is Jennifer Hegseth Pete Hegseth's first wife?

It took some rocky relationships and an extramarital affair for Pete to arrive at his third marriage with Jennifer. 

Pete was first married to Meredith Schwarz until she divorced him in 2008, while his second marriage was with Samantha Deering who then left him in 2017. 

Interestingly, both his marriages ended because of his affairs with other women. Jennifer also came into the picture as the woman Pete was cheating with while still married to Samantha. The 'Fox & Friends' host's second divorce happened after Jennifer got pregnant with Pete's child. 

Pete is also not the first partner Jennifer has tied the knot with. She was previously married to another man but the details of which have never been uncovered in public. 

Jennifer and Pete Hegseth met while working

The couple met as colleagues on the Fox set itself. It was not long before they became close friends and eventually started dating. 

But both Jennifer and Pete were married to other people when they got romantically involved with each other. 

While it definitely affected their personal lives as both the Fox employees had to get through divorces at the same time, it also affected their work life to some extent. They got married in August 2019.

How many children do Jennifer and Pete Hegseth share?

With the two being through multiple marriages, Jennifer and Pete have been able to create a pool of children between the two of them. 

The couple currently shares seven children, five boys and two girls. Not all of them came out of the relationship between Jennifer and Pete. 

Three of the children were born to Pete with his second wife Samantha, all sons named Boone, Rex, and Gunner. On the other hand, Jennifer also got three children out of her previous marriage - two sons and one daughter named Jackson, Luke, and Kenzie. 

Jennifer and Pete only have one child of their own named Gwen who was born when they were having an affair.
