LONDON, UK: A London-based teacher discussed how he got the chance to star opposite his favorite actor, Harrison Ford, in the 'Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny' movie. Mohammed Kamel, a 46-year-old English teacher and also an aspiring actor, has finally landed his greatest role to date. He plays one of the villains in 'Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,' which debuts in UK theaters on June 28.

The film 'Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny' won't be officially released until June 30, 2023, but early reviews suggest that it will be an exciting ride like every other Indy story. Being the final installment in the franchise, 'Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny' has been under a lot of pressure to perform well at the box office. Harrison Ford reprises his role as Indiana Jones for the last time and has Phoebe Waller-Bridge keeping him company as his on-screen goddaughter.

Who is Mohammed Kamel?

Mohammed Kamel, a 46-year-old aspiring actor, teaches English throughout the day at the Functional Skills Educational Center in Wembley, North West London. Alongside Ford and British co-star Waller-Bridge, Kamel appears in a crucial fight scene where the 'Fleabag' star knocks him unconscious by smashing a champagne bottle on his head, as reported by Mirror.

Last year, the Mirror exclusively revealed how Kamel had secured a significant role in the fifth season of 'The Crown', playing the character of Ali Al-Fayed, Dodi Al-Fayed's uncle and Mohammed Al-Fayed's younger brother. 'The Crown' Season 5 debuted at the top of Netflix's Top Ten English titles, with around 110 million hours of streaming.

'Filming with Harrison Ford was an absolute dream come true'

In a conversation with Mirror, Kamel gushed over his experience of working alongside the veteran actor. He exclaimed: "Filming with Harrison Ford and Phoebe Waller-Bridge was an absolute dream come true. I grew up idolising Harrison and loved his Star Wars, Indiana Jones and Blade Runner films so much. I watched them on repeat constantly, and could recite all the dialogue! So imagine how I felt when I found out that I had won a part in the new Indiana Jones movie! I couldn't contain myself."

Kamel has also discussed how his success in 'The Crown' helped him win his dream acting gig in 'Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,' one of the most expensive movies ever made. In the movie, Kamel plays the right-hand man of Rahim, the supporting villain played by actor Alaa Safi. Speaking of Ford, Kamel added: "I spent six weeks on set with Harrison Ford and he was so lovely, friendly and kind to me - even offering me a piece of his orange every morning, which he loved to have for breakfast."

How did Mohammed Kamel land role in 'Indiana Jones 5'?

The London-based English teacher admitted: "It was all very secretive at first. Kate Bone, the casting director who hired me to portray Ali Al-Fayed in The Crown, contacted my agent and asked me to submit a self-tape video audition for a mystery feature film. The next thing I knew, I was told I had landed the part, and that a driver was coming to pick me up from my house and take me to Pinewood Studios."

Kamel further added: "It was only when I got to Pinewood and was taken to the costume department to measure up that I realised I had landed a role in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, and that I would be acting in a crucial fight scene opposite Harrison Ford and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. They say never meet your childhood heroes because you could end up being disappointed. But in my case, nothing could be further from the truth."
