Who is Michael Jordan's wife? NBA star enjoys yacht ride with Yvette Prieto and their twin daughters to luxurious Sardinia hotel
SARDINIA, ITALY: Michael Jordan is currently savoring the luxuries of a lavish vacation in Italy, as the NBA legend was spotted enjoying a leisurely meal with his wife, Yvette Prieto, at the esteemed Cala di Volpe hotel in Sardinia. The property is known for its opulence, offering meals that can cost up to $336 (€300), water priced at $22 (€20) per bottle, and wines starting at $225 (€200).
The 60-year-old sports icon arrived in the region on his yacht and was captured disembarking onto the shore with his family. While vacationing in Sicily with their twin daughters, Jordan and his wife, Yvette Prieto, preferred to maintain a low profile. The couple is known for keeping their personal lives out of the public eye, and it was no different during their summer trip to Italy.
Yvette Prieto has Cuban roots and loves the ocean
After finalizing his divorce from his first wife, Juanita Vanoy, in 2006, fate brought Jordan and Prieto together at a Miami nightclub in 2008. Their connection was instant, and the couple decided to move in together the following year. The bond deepened, and in 2011, they announced their engagement. Jordan and Prieto exchanged vows in the presence of 500 cherished guests on April 27, 2013, in a memorable ceremony. Their happiness knew no end as the couple welcomed their twin daughters, Victoria and Ysabel, on February 9, 2014.
Interestingly, Prieto's roots trace back to Cuba, but her family migrated to Miami when she was a child. Growing up near the ocean, she developed a profound love for sailing, a passion she cherishes to date, so it's obvious that Jordan would want to treat the love of his life with a romantic boat ride. Prieto's journey also led her to a successful career as a model, collaborating with esteemed designers such as Alexander Wang. Prior to her encounter with the NBA star, she had been in a relationship with Julio Iglesias Jr, the son of the esteemed Spanish singer Julio Iglesias and brother of the famed Latin pop star Enrique Iglesias.
Michael Jordan shared a table with the legends
During his time in Europe, Jordan had the opportunity to reunite with some old friends from the NBA and Hollywood. Recently, he spent a wonderful time at the renowned Lemon Tree restaurant in Capri, sharing a dinner table with none other than Magic Johnson and Samuel L Jackson. As per reports, the atmosphere was filled with laughter and joy as the restaurant band serenaded the trio, creating an unforgettable experience.
Johnson even shared a humorous video on his Instagram, showcasing the infectious smiles of himself and Jordan, thoroughly enjoying the music, captioning the post, "Tonight we enjoyed an incredible dinner at the world-famous Da Paolino Ristorante aka the lemon tree restaurant in Capri, Italy! AND I got to hang out with my great friend and the greatest basketball player to ever live, Michael Jordan, and his wife Yvette, Sam and LaTanya Jackson, Judge Greg and Linda Mathis, and John and Vicki Palmer."
