Who is Mako from The Mob? Here's why 100 Thieves content creator is resigning: 'I'm done pretending I'm okay'
Content creator Mako quit The Mob and he wrote in a post about it on TwitLonger. The Mob are made up of four different Youtube content creators, each with their own unique style. The team is made up of Avalanche, Froste, Mako and Classify. All four members of The Mob have a giant presence on social media, especially Twitter, and have become very well known for their memes, roasts and clips — all of which are quite hilarious. Last year on June 14, the team of four joined 100 Thieves, a lifestyle brand and gaming organization based in Los Angeles, California.
Writing his post on TwitLonger, he called his decision to move back to New York and “leave this content life” an “overdue”. Mako wrote: "I do not want to be a content creator, I want nothing to do with this lifestyle, I dont like being on camera im not good at any of it, my heads been very unstable for a long time and im done pretending im okay when im not. This is the lowest ive been in my life, I have a plethora of reasons as to why I want to go home but truly all I want is genuine happiness and I will not find that staying here.”
He, however, thanked his team members saying, "I want to say thank you to the entire Mob community for always being so supportive and nice to me throughout the years. you’ll never know how truly appreciative I am and I hope I was able to be there for some of you whenever you needed, without you guys literally none of this is possible. Whether you were only around in the beginning or branched off into other communities or stayed with us until now I love you all so much and make sure you continue to look after each other."
Commenting that making content might not be everyone’s cup of tea, a fan of the content team wrote on Reddit, “Very easy to see how content creation and being a constant online presence can be grueling and not for everyone. Hope he finds the happiness he seeks. I do disagree with his self assessment that he isn't good at content/being on camera. Felt like he always carried a pretty calm demeanor on camera and was a good counterbalance to classy and froste's eccentricness. But again, personal happiness and health is obviously top priority, and I applaud him for taking the steps he feels necessary to find happiness.” Wishing him all the best another wrote, “I truly hope he finds the happiness he is looking for. Sad to see what seems like the end of the MOB, but if it is what they all want i wish them the best.”
A fan wondered what was next for The Mob now that one of their team members had left, “Happy for him making this decision in pursuing happiness and bettering his health. I wonder what’s next for the mob and if this affects their stay in 100T.”
