Who is Lilah Pi? Drake pens birthday tribute for singer, calls her his 'confidant' and 'best friend'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Canadian rapper Drake has fuelled rumors about dating Kim Kardashian lookalike and R&B singer Delilah aka Lilah Pi after he took to Instagram to wish her a happy birthday. Though neither party has confirmed anything, Lilah was featured on the cover art of the ‘Certified Lover Boy’ rapper's April single, ‘Search & Rescue’.
Drake took to Instagram to post a glamorous photo of the ‘Atlantis’ crooner along with a heartfelt birthday tribute on June 8. The ‘Nonstop’ rapper wrote, “More life to the gyal that's impossible to duplicate,” before adding, “My inspo, my confidant, my best mate, my heart @lilahpi happy birthday.” The birthday girl also showed her gratitude by reposting the same story after adding a pink heart emoji and writing “4L,” which bears the meaning “for life.”

This was not the first time, however, when the ‘Hotline Bling’ rapper publicly mentioned his alleged girlfriend’s name. He name dropped her in a recent J Hus’ song, ‘Who Told You,’ where Drake was found rapping, “So Lilah Pi, don't make my eye cry / Let me hold your controller, I'm not one of the controllin' guys / I want you to touch road with the girls dem, and socialize / Enjoy your life, your backside is so fit, it opens eyes / I know the vibes, I know the vibes.”
Who is Lilah Pi?
The 25-year-old songstress was born and brought up in East London. She released her first EP ‘Atlantis’ in November 2021. As per Daily Mail, the album has seven songs about “self-discovery, interpersonal relationships, sadness and balance.”
In an interview with Clash Magazine, Lilah revealed that her interest in music stemmed from her parents. She said, “Music has always been in my life. My parents always had the most eclectic taste. My dad was more Indie pop like Beatles, Bowie, and that was always his vibe,” before adding, “My mum was always a Kanye person, but usually, she’d have on the most random songs. I think at some point I might have joined the choir, and growing up, I was always a performative person. So naturally, I think it was the path that I was set to take on."
A self-proclaimed enigma, Lilah told Notion in an interview, “The reason why I use the word enigma is because I don’t even know how to define myself as an artist. I’m constantly learning about myself and growing through that and discovering new things about myself. So to myself, I’m an enigma because I don’t even know what’s going on?”
In the same interview, Lilah also revealed that she had a weakness for contrasts, saying, “In my life, balance is the most important thing. I think because my music is so emotional and vulnerable, the balance of being able to have fun visually and sort of contrasting that and showing a different side of my personality appeals to me.”
‘Search & Rescue’
Lilah also famously appeared in the cover art for Drake’s single that was released in April. However, she came under scrutiny because of her resemblance to Kim. Drake used Kim’s voice clip in the music video which chronicled parts of Kim and her ex-husband Kanye West's saga.
