When Kennedy McMann debuted in the titular role of The CW's 'Nancy Drew', she wowed audiences in the new treatment of the character. While fans of the teen sleuth were skeptical of the new show, the actress quickly turned the odds in her favor. Just like the beloved books, the show also had a Ned, who is called Nick (Tunji Kasim) in the series, Nancy's love interest, but the two don't last long as he gets together with her best friend George (Leah Lewis). That might have made fans sad, but McMann's real-life love story is nowhere near as gloomy as the one on the show. If anything, it is as dreamy as it gets.

Kennedy McMann tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend Sam McInerney not a very long time ago. Nine weeks ago on November 11, 2020, she took to Instagram to share the news of her marriage with her followers and friends.

Revealing that she had a small, closed ceremony, McMann captioned the image, "a little while ago, we got married. we’re gonna do it again with our beautiful friends & family later. best thing we’ve ever done. forever for us started a long time ago, but now it’s on a piece of paper. so deeply happy to be married to you my dearest sweetest love."

Who is Sam McInerney?

McMann has been with her McInerney for six years now, which means the couple has been together since the 'Nancy Drew' star was 18. McInerney is two years older than she is.

McMann, for the longest time, did not tag her boyfriend in her posts - probably to safeguard his privacy (he is @filmfufighting on Instagram). But her social media is proof of the fact that their love may be young, but it is strong.

In a post she uploaded over a year ago in December 2019, during their five-year anniversary she wrote of McInerney and their relationship. "i absolutely adore you. you dress like both our grandpas, you have the most brilliant mind, you’re gentle & kind, you’re perpetually better than me at mario kart (gotta stay humble ya know), and most of all, you are the most incredibly loving & supportive partner. especially lately, I am only doing what I am doing because of you lifting me up. happy 5 years, my love. not nearly enough time so let’s hang out for the rest of ‘em too, cool?" she wrote. A year before that, she had posted a picture with the engagement ring adding that they are going to be married.

According to reports, the couple graduated from the Carnegie Melon School of Drama.
