'Small Town' singer John Mellencamp's mystery GF revealed as multimillionaire socialite Kristin Kehrberg

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: John Mellencamp’s “beautiful” new girlfriend has finally been revealed. According to Page Six, the 71-year-old singer is dating multimillionaire socialite Kristin Kehrberg, who is the widow of Shelter Island advertising guru Richard “Dick” Tarlow. In May last year, Tarlow breathed his last at the age of 81. 

Kehrberg has also reportedly pottered about in production, and served as an executive producer with her then-husband on the 2017 rom-com 'The Wild Wedding', which starred Glenn Close, John Malkovich, and Patrick Stewart, according to IMDb. 

When did Mellencamp and Kehrberg start dating each other?

The 'Hurts So Good' singer and Kehrberg, 57, started dating earlier this year but they were only seen publicly for the first time at the beginning of August. The couple were pictured fondling outside of his granddaughter Slate’s fashion show at the Unincorporated Life in Los Angeles. They were also seen latching onto each other according to the photos obtained by the outlet. 

Both Mellencamp and Kehrberg wore the same sunglasses, white shirts, black pants, and sneakers and shared a sweet hug while they chatted before saying goodbye. The outlet also reported that Kehrberg is already introduced to the singer's family, as his daughter, 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star Teddi Mellencamp, was also in attendance.

John Mellencamp previously opened up about his new partner in a podcast 

On Monday, August 28, John announced that he is in a relationship with someone new while appearing on the 'Club Random with Bill Maher' podcast. During the interview, the 13-time Grammy Award nominee revealed that he met his new girlfriend, whom he did not name, “unexpectedly” seven months ago, and “she has not left [his] side."

“She’s a beautiful 57-year-old woman who just walked into my apartment in New York unexpectedly,” he explained. “She was with a couple of friends. She walked in. She didn’t know I was going to be there. I didn’t know she was there. We met each other.”

Kehrberg has never got angry with Mellencamp

Mellencamp claimed that they are so well-suited that Kehrberg has “never” even gotten angry with him. “It’s so hard to believe, I know. She has a really high threshold for tolerance,” he joked. Mellencamp, who has sold over 30 million albums in the US and over 60 million worldwide, was previously in an on-and-off relationship with Meg Ryan from 2011 until 2019.

Mellencamp admitted that he had been a 's****y boyfriend' before 

After their separation, Mellencamp admitted  he had been a 's****y boyfriend” to the “When Harry Met Sally…” star, whom he once claimed hated him “to death.” “She’s a great girl,” he told Esquire in June. “I love Meg Ryan. I went with her for 10 years. She doesn’t love me so much.” He has been married three times and has five children while Kehrberg is a mom to two sons.
